Once I stopped dying my hair and embraced the gray, I tried several products to help with both moisture/condition and the yellow that can appear with some gray hair. This is the best. I use it on towel damp hair before styling. My hair is more silver than white, and this product gives it a lovely sheen and also makes it soft and controls brittle/wiry tendencies. I strongly recommend it.

I love this hairdressing and have discovered that I can't find it in local stores. It gives just the right amount of control for the frizzies and the right finishing "shine" for gray hair. I would caution that one not use more than an amount about the size of dime, especially on shorter hair because too much will give a "greased" look...

Could be bigger!

I've been using this product for years on my white hair. It moisturizes and adds shine. Those are the good points. As soon as I opened the package I noticed that the tube was different than it used to be -- no big deal. But when I opened the tube and squeezed a little onto my palm, it was a much thinner consistency than it used to be. And it seems the fragrance is a little stronger. Anyway, I can't give five stars. I don't think the current product is as effective for moisturizing as the old formulation. I would give three and a half stars but I grudgingly have to give four.

I laugh because this was my grandpa hair product back in the day. But hey, it really works! It wasn't and easy decision for me to stop coloring my hair, and when I finally decided to go it, I did it the drastic way. I traded my long dark layered shiny mane for a pixie cut. I had envisioned a sassy playful cut that would both embrace and defy the aging process. But when the new growth came in, the jet black hair of my younger years had turned brassy and dull, which in my opinion made my pixie an ordinary old lady short hair cut. I just wasn't ready for feeling old and matronly. After reading another woman's review had to try it. I have found that I only need a tiny bit on the tips of my fingers and then working it into my cleaned and dried hair, it helps to give texture and definition, while also enhancing and brightening the silver, as well as turns the dull brassiness into bright, healthy and shinny hair. I don't feel old anymore. I love the ease and freedom that my pixie affords me and with this product I can also have the luster and shine that is important for a healthier more vibrant youthful look. I highly recommend for ease of application and for making your hair beautiful .

What a difference just a touch of this Alberto VO5 does for my hair. It looks healthier and behaves better. I put a very small amount in my hand (sometimes with a leave in conditioner tiny dab), rub it together on my hands and then just pat my hair to allow all the area of my hair to get a little before I feel that much is done and just run my hands from the scalp to the ends of the hair. I am so happy to find this product that I loved when I was so much younger!

This is a wonderful product for my white beard, It gives it a subtle gloss and make me really look good. Love V05

My husband really likes this product. It does what it says on the tin. Keeps your hair in place and a lovely shine to it. Its a pity it had to come all the way from the USA as it meant waiting a while to receive it, but worth the wait.

Truly an old but faithful product. Very lightweight and minimal hold but makes unpigmented hair glisten perfectly!
