Wondering if it's worth it?!
After thinking about my childhood when I sat by a creek plinking with my homemade slingshot. I now decided to take a look at how far modern slingshot technology has come. After looking around and watching far too many YouTube videos. I decided to purchase one. So the search was began.Being retired and knowing every penny counts the purchase choices really count, so buying some that is junk really stings.I was relying on reviews of buyers, which overall were good. Still, the price seemed slightly low for the priducts claims being made. We all know cheaper is not always better. With all this if the thing would give at least as much cheap entertainment as when I was a kid, then the twenty bucks would be worth it.So I hit the buy now button.Pros:1) Packaged well in box with all parts bundled and wrapped for shipping protection. All parts were in great condition and none were missing. Instructions were included, with photos, though not detailed in some areas.2) Frame is solid and machined well. The grips are quality and don't have the cheap plastic feel.3) Once assembled the set of sights are truly a very nice feature and really help to sweeten the deal.4) I was out in the yard plinking within minutes after putting it all together. In just a two shots I was on target. Two hours of absolutely having fun. (See photo of grouping during first practice, at a range of 50 feet)5) I have medium sized hands and was somewhat worried if the unit would fit well in my hands. The fit, grip, and feel is great. Aligns up comfortably.Cons: (Though none are deal breakers or something to shy away from.)1) Be sure to wear eye protection, which should go without saying anyway, but, because the bands are thinner. The bands perform well but better higher quality bands will no doubt make this a much better system.2) If this unit would have cost 50.00 or above. I would have expected the grips to fit a bit more flush. I didn't feel any abnormalities or discomfort while shooting. The grips do ever so slightly not fit flush on the frame. This is to be expected when molded plastic is mounted to metal.3) The trickest part to the assembly is adding the fiber optic material to the sights. I can see where this could really be a challenge for some folks. Especially if you aren't very dexterity oriented.Overall:Totally impressed and completely satisfied with this purchase. It ould make a great gift. I've ordered new (better) bands and ammo. I'm looking forward to much more shooting soon.

Excellent
I'm impressed! For the price of two glasses of wine, you can have a high quality slingshot (or catapault as they say across the pond) to obliterate your empty beer cans with.Hefty solid steel fork and nicely shaped and finished hardwood handle. It's perfectly sized and designed to be pinch gripped as pictured. You will need to install some sort of 1mm thick shim to take the minor torsional slop out of the frame to hand grip fitment. I had some heavy card stock saved from some packaging for this sort of thing- now rock solid. The band clamping teeth are very well machined and even spring loaded- use a quarter to tighten. 3 very nice sets of TAPERED (cool, higher velocity) 2 color (easier to see twists) band sets with ammo locating pouches. Launches 9mm walmart clay balls nicely. Fun!

Pretty good little shooter.
This is a pretty good portable slingshot. I personally didn't put the sights didn't see the need (I use old school sight along band method) and to keep profile compact with out fear of snags off of the sights. All and all really happy with fit (I have big hand) and quality of material used in slingshot's construction.

Great slingshot
If I had this slingshot 65 years ago there'd be a lot fewer squirrels in Wisconsin. I remember the days of looking behind gas stations to find discarded red rubber intertubes to cut up for bands. These latex bands are far better and you don't have to scrounge for the intertubes. Very easy to change, also. The old days required two people to change bands. One to stretch over crutch and the other to tie the knot. This comes with an asortment of sighting options. They're more of a selling gimic, in my opinion. Use them if you think they're cool or whatever. I left them off as I perfer instinct shooting instead. Some call it snap shooting? All in all, I'm VERY impressed with this slingshot and would buy another if this one happened to get lost or whatever.

Bands are awful. The rest is Okish.
It's got some problems. as far as the bad, well...The leather pouch is cheap garbage. But to be honest, I expected it. Leathergoods on Amazon are usually pretty bad. Especially cheap ones. The clay pellets? Also junk. They don't weigh anything, so they are both inaccurate, and carry no force if you manage to hit something. But that doesn't matter much as their aren't many if them included. What matters most, is the bands. They are, by far, the most useless and hugely important to the proper function of a slingshot. They are unbelievably thin, less than 1/16 of an inch. (About as thick as a normal rubber band from the dollar store). And between them being so thin and so short, they have no power.Seriously.Take a rubber band from Walmart and pull it back. It has more resistance than these bands.Absolute junk. Then there's the pouch design. I don't know if it's popular, or something, but the pouch is 3/8ths wide and 1.5 inches long. It makes actually placing something in it very annoying and difficult. It's not like the slingshots from Walmart that have a 1x3inch pouch. As far as the slingshot itself. It's pretty well made. A little heavy, but it is through handle on the tang, if it's called that. It's sturdy, and relatively compact. As far as the sights, I don't know. I don't intend to use them. Never had sights growing up, don't need them now.Overall, I'd purchase something else given the lack of value in this 'kit'. Or I'd at least have bought some thicker bands.I would say it's OK for a 10 or 12 year old kid. But that's about it.

Surprisingly accurate
I've had toy slingshots as a kid, but decided to get a "real" one for camping and potentially hunting. The base of this is actually heavy metal and handles well. The bands get clamped into the base, and screwed into place. There are optional aiming sights, which I opted not to put on. I'm trying to learn "instinctive" shooting - aiming and shooting without any aiming aides, just feeling the distance and conditions. It's surprisingly accurate. The carrying case holds the slingshot on the outside, and has a pouch to store ammo, spare bands, targets inside. Fits on a belt. If you have loose ammo inside and turn it upside down, it would fall out.Comes with:- Slingshot- 3 elastic bands- Carrying case- Sights + hex key to install- 50 pcs clay ammo- 2 silicone targets

Nice and accurate, sturdy too.
I didn't expect to have to burn in my own sights. That took a bit of time, but afterwards it was pretty sweet. I wish the elastic was stronger, only reason it's not 5 stars.

Great little slingshot
A bit embarrassing to say, but I bought it with the intention to snipe some rats that I've noticed in the garden. The reality is unless you're very patient / lucky / smart, you just won't ever get the opportunity to load, aim, and fire at these guys before they disappear. But I enjoyed learning how to shoot and improving my accuracy. I bought some 1/2 inch clay balls to go with this.

It's a beast!
The first thing you notice is it's weight. It's not heavy, but definitely hefty, like when you pick up a que ball and the intrusive thoughts kick in. Easy to setup and teardown. Feels a little small in the hand until you mean to shoot, than you grip ot proper and you're more like "okay, okay I see now. Yeah if I miss this things gonna hurt anyway".Nice toy for me to keep coyotes and persistent pests at bay while backpacking, if not intended to be turned into lunch. I was in Torrance LA not long ago, squirrels there are no joke. This would of been handy at the time.

Great Frame
Pros.-This slingshot feels great to hold.-has a site that Is surprisingly accurate-Really good vallue for what you pay, there is just so much included in the package.Cons-be bands are a bit to easy to pull back to maximum aiming length, maybe OK for a child but as a full grown adult male I would like something with more resistance so I could get more fps.-the pocket that holds the amo is on the small side and would be nice if it was bigger for shooting 3/4 inch amo
