The legs twist to lengthen & tighten.
I dislike twisting the legs to lengthen/shorten. I like the hinge style to tighten. I didn't look close enough to that feature. Otherwise the product is good & sturdy.

Not sturdy at all
I could not adjust this to proper height or angle for large pad I have. The weight of the pad causes the whole thing to tip. The clip at the top is strong enough to hold maybe 1 sheet of paper, not a pad of paper.

Ugh. Poor design.
We needed easels that traveled well. Very light weight but poor design. The length of the stand does not fit our usual 3M flip chart paper
