It's definitely not a six more like a four. Still fun and worth buying.I personally depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon, as do many other consumers. I not only read what reviewers say, but look to see what their pictures reveal about a products true quality and description. I aim to not only feature the products I review in many different aspects, analyzing many qualities, I also provide my own opinions on ALL the good AND bad experiences I have with the product I review. I take time to learn and use a product as it was intended before I review it, and I have used this specific product thoroughly.My rating system:5 - Met all my expectations. Was described and pictured perfectly. Exactly what I wanted and needed. Extremely useful product and a great value. Would recommend to family and friends.4 - Very good product. Exactly as described. Great quality and they definitely keep you busy! Of course it depends on the difficulty level but I’ve purchased mostly 4’s and 5’s and they definitely have stumped my hubby for way longer than any other puzzles like this. Some he has yet to solve! I keep them on my coffee table and guests always pick them up to try. They feel substantial and are made to keep people thinking. The puzzle simply isn’t getting it apart - you always need to reassemble which is often more difficult. I’ve used as stocking stuffers at Christmas and also as a small gift to accompany a gift card or cash. I’ve probably purchased over a dozen. It’s helpful to check reviews on the specific puzzles because it seems like not all puzzles rated in a specific difficulty category are of equal difficulty. For example, sometimes a 4 might be more difficult than a certain 5. I guess it depends on the individual but I did find the reviews helpful in that regard. If you have a puzzle expert in the house these will not disappoint. And I suspect the lower levels are probably great for beginners or just to get your feet wet.

I am a high school teacher and need sturdy - this fits the bill. Students love it!

Bought as a gift for my nephew who loves puzzles. He enjoyed solving every bit of it, then taught me how to solve it too since I had 2 left hands and slush for a brain. Very fun puzzle!

OOoo this was so annoying to solve and putting it back together was even more of a pain but that's why you buy/make puzzles right?I'm probably a level 3-->4 with puzzles and this definitely took me several days of attempting and pushing it away after at least 30-45 mins of frustration. I'll smile and then put it away to attempt it later. It's definitely worth the purchase imho

Disappointed that the red velvet pouch was missing since it was for a gift.

I love this puzzle! It took took me about 45 minutes to an hour to figure it out but I am pretty proficient in solving puzzles. However this is my first Hanayama and just as I had solved it I had to put it back together... that was really fun and another puzzle in itself considering I didn't fully understand how I got it apart. Playing with it more and more I finally understood its workings and I am still quite pleased with it. I highly recommend this puzzle.

Hanyama makes good puzzles. They are made well and work well. As a gift, few I know would do much with it. Best buy these for yourself. The price is right. Even if one knows the solution, it’s a hard row to hoe getting one back together. Good luck, and don’t get fired from your day job trying to figure these out.
