This is a beautiful piece of computer engineering at a price I could afford
I replaced my faithful, dual boot, 2013 MacBook Air - which served me well for nearly 10 years and still runs today, albeit with some technology lags and failures that are more related to its capacity to keep up with OS and software advances over the intervening years. I needed to have something portable, not too heavy for my personal mobile computing. However, I work in complex and advanced 3D design, modeling and AI, so ideally, my mobile personal machine had to have a dedicated graphics adapter. This meant compromising some of the weight and battery life so I could flick over to a work assignment right there on my laptop when the need dictated. The G15 is a perfect machine for this. Fits perfectly in a small carry bag. Sports a nVidia GeForce RTX 3060 (6GB VRAM) with amazing heat management features that have obviously developed from their exceptional Alienware stable. What is really amazing is taking a personal mobile computing machine out of the bag and experiencing the modern Windows11 experience and changes! Oh my gosh, it is so fast and beautiful. The changes since I last upgraded from Win7 to Win10 and now Win11 are incredible. Being a Chrome browser for years, I thought I would experience what MS has done with Edge on this new hardware and latest OS - incredible! The experience has been amazing. Microsoft under Satya is to be commended - I am loving it! My G15 sports a 12th Gen, 14 CORE i7. It is lightning fast and with some of my work requirements, having access to 20 threads will be a huge advantage for those times I need to browse alongside my work! Finally, this little, Prime Day powerhouse steal, came with a full keyboard! Do you know how rare that is in this, lower-end price range, personal computer that doubles as a 3D graphics Workstation when needed!?!?!? Just take a look and see how hard a full keyboard is to find on such a machine and it is really important for me and everything I want to do on my personal machine. Amazing! DELL and MS - I am loving my G15! Thankyou. R

Excellent machine for the price as a desktop replacement that is also portable.
I use this essentially as a portable desktop. The processor is fast enough to not be an issue and with a USB-C hub I can use 2 external monitors and a couple of external hard disks for storage and backup. The memory can be upgraded, but I've not done that yet. I did put in a 2TB SSD which gives lots of very fast local storage so it's pretty responsive. It's not particularly light or small, but I can move it very easily if I need to, unlike an actual desktop. Mine is plugged in all the time, so I don't really have any comments on the battery life. For me, a nice feature is that it has an Nvidia GPU which allows me to play with parallel programming. Overall, it's really perfect for my use.

Good Value
Negative reviews aside, this is a really good laptop. People complain about things that aren’t perfect and small annoyances that are impossible to please everyone the same. Dell did a pretty good job with this unit and it is pretty tough. If you want the best top of the line with everything suited to you, consider a more expensive unit and do research on the unit. I hate to see a good product blasted with negative reviews of simple, correctable issues. This is a really great little product!

Mine Broke After A Month!
I bought this new from the Dell store through Amazon. For roughly $1,200. I noticed them for $1,000 a day or so later when I was checking the status on a mouse I ordered. Now that mightve been refurbished or something, but still disappointing to me. So I got the computer promptly after ordering it, just like always from Amazon. It was in an un damaged Amazon box, but it was also in a Dell box inside of that, and that box had a small dollar bill sized rip it. Whatever the computer appeared Un damaged. So I use the computer for about a month, a month and 4 days to be exact. Playing mainly World of Warcraft, and other games the laptop is well capable of playing, maybe 5 nights of the week. Anyway, during an update it never would boot back up. After spending 2-4 hours troubleshooting through Dell website and customer service, they suspected that I had a defective SSD. They gave me two options. Either they send me an SSD and I fix it myself or I send the entire laptop back them for repair. I tried to bargain for more, feeling that either of these options seemed unworthy of spending $1,200 dollars on a laptop. So they sent me a box and I sent it to them on a Friday. I just got an email today (The following Tuesday) saying the repair was complete and it was being shipped back to me. The idea of getting the same SSD card that only lasted a month is not very favorable if that is what the repair was. A gift card or store credit for my inconvenience would've been nice. Or perhaps an upgraded SSD or next nicer model computer. In the month before it broke it seemed like a nice laptop though, I really enjoyed playing it. We shall see how long it lasts now.

fast, quiet and powerful
This laptop is fast and powerful. The fan is also very quite and the surface where your hands sit while typing doesn't heat up. The screen is nice and I also like the red backlit keyboard and number pad. The bulky connections are on the back, so it doesn't interfere with having a separate mouse on the side. Its a bit heavy, but with all the features it's worth the extra weight. So far so good!
