Don't take my word for it, take your Naturopathic doctor's word. This supplement is helping my hip and knee pain a LOT! I'm just on the first bottle of these but I'm definitely reordering. I complained to my MD about the hip pain I had developed and he started talking about hip replacement and whatever. He sent me for an x-ray, which I had done. But in the meantime, I'd heard naturopaths like Dr. Joel Wallach and others talk about the benefits of chicken cartilage so I logged onto Amazon and picked some up. So far, so good. I'm going through these things pretty fast, tho. Six capsules a day burns through a bottle pretty quickly. But I'll give it like 3 or 4 months. Hopefully I'll be completely pain free in that amount of time. 🤞 Edit: I'm still doing great. I can't believe the difference. My sister told me to look into Turmeric for the pain too. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory. But the chicken cartilage is a game changer.

I have been using this product for two months for chronic shoulder pain and found that it is the first supplement that actually alleviates the joint pain for me. The "Chicken Sternum" name is a bit off-putting, but it is effective for me and the price is competitive.

Joint pain (especially my knees) dramatically increased after my 45th birthday (perimenopause); and I was experiencing knee pain so awful that I would wake up every couple of hours throughout the night. I had read that collagen can take a month before you reap the benefits; but I felt relief within a week of taking these. I initially followed the recommended 2 capsules/3x a day dosage until the pain was gone and now I take 2 capsules/ day to maintain collagen levels. I recommend this to all my friends experiencing joint pain due to aging and they too have gotten relief. It’s definitely worth the cost.

As far as I know the previous Swanson product has "Chicken Sternum Cartilage" on the label and it is a transparent green plastic bottle. This product has "Chicken Sternum" on the label and the bottle is white opaque plastic. The active ingredient in both is the same: Chicken Sternum Cartilage (Collagen Type II) 3,000 mg This newer product actually lists the amount of Chondroitin (600 mg), Hyaluronic acid (300 mg), and Glucosamine (90). The previous product didn't list amounts. Both have 120 Caps. Serving size is the same - 6 tablets daily. None of these things would be inportant if it were not for the fact this product effectively healed my knee pain within one day. Before using the product I walked crabby because it felt like my knees had no cartilage cushion, and the joint was bone-on-bone. Now that I use the product, my knees feel 'cushiony', so I can walk normal. The reason I went and purchased the new labeled product was that all my previous Swanson Chicken Cartilage tablets aged beyond the 'Best if used by 2021' date. Thanks Swanson!

Not well tolerated. Had to discontinue due to reflux. No change in joint pain while taking it.
