Plug and Play, and no issues. Pure happiness.
I needed to add a USB C port to an old Dell to interface a RODE podcast mixer for a friend, and so far this card was plug and play, and Windows 10 allows uninterrupted audio streaming from the microphones and devices plugged in through the mixer and USB C card. No signs of any undesired operation. I plugged in the card and turned on the computer, and the driver was installed before I had all the screws in the side cover. I plugged the mixer into the USB C port and it instantly detected the mixer and has been operating perfectly for over 6 weeks, so far. I did have to switch to the low profile bracket, but switching was a breeze with the two screws being reused. The low profile bracket is included. If I need to add USB C ports or if I needed to add more, this card definitely gets the job done in the future.

The Little Card That Could - 5x Speed Improvement!
I have a low-end SFF (small form factor) computer, the HP S01-pF2013w. I use it as a streamer/entertainment box and it's performed admirably except for slow transfer speeds and backup. The stock USB is slow. I decided to take a chance on the FebSmart card since it claimed no power other than the PCIe slot was required, and had a low form factor plate. After unboxing, the plate was easily switched from a full size to the included smaller one. Installation was a breeze, the fit was perfect. No software was required, Windows 11 recognized the card immediately. The ports are not covered by any of the computer case. I performed a trial with a large file transfer to an external USB3 drive. With the stock USB port, I got a pokey 26 MB/s speed. Performing the same transfer from the FebSmart USB 3 port clocked at 135 MB/s, a whopping 5x+ improvement. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased with the add-on USB card. I think you will be too, especially in the SFF category where card choices are limited.

Works with ESXi 7 pass-through
It's a keeper! Excellent value. Both USB device and PCI pass-through work with ESXi 7. PCI pass-through was waaayyy faster. I only had the card installed for a couple of days so I can't speak to its reliability or longevity but it performed a flawless, large Veeam backup which took 13 hours. The same backup took only 8-9 hours before I virtualized the machine; using the motherboard's built-in USB port. I'm not saying this card is slower. I don't know. Many variables at play. Nevertheless, a 13 hour backup is not doable for my use case. I replaced the card with a Highpoint RocketU 1344A, replaced the HDD and the HDD docking station with USB 3.1 Gen 2 parts and got the backup time down to just under 5 hours. Keep in mind the new card and dock are USB 3.1 Gen 2 whereas the FebSmart card and original dock are USB 3.0 Gen 1. I still wholeheartedly recommend the FebSmart card. You can't beat the value (if it lasts for a while).

Great for small cases (Micro ATX) Linux recognized it immediately. No Driver needed.
Worked out of the box. Linux didn't balk and this form factor fit my case, PCI slot, and left plenty of room for proper airflow. For me it was plug and play and allowed me to test out a few UBC devices like my Quest 2, drives, and cables.

Sadly, this did not work in either of my older motherboards
I tried this in two different desktops. Both supported USB-2 and had PCIe slots of course but I simply could not get it to work. In one, it would not even allow the desktop to even power up. I tried it in a PCIe 1x slot as well as a PCIe 16x slot but it just would not power up the motherboard. I already had an older USB-3 card in the desktop and even removed that and tried it but no matter what I tried no power up. At that point, rather than just send it back, I had a second Desktop which also had the same older USB-3 card in and I though I could both the older styles into on desktop and this new one alone in the other dekstop. It installed and the desktop powered up but gave me an error saying it could not find the driver. So being a computer specialist I went into Windows-7 and pointed it to the actual directory on the CD but it still came back with "No driver found....". This was disappointing as it simply would not work with either older motherboard so I had to return it. If you are wondering why I needed a second USB-3 card to start with..... On one server I have USB Drives for a media center (works great) as well as internal SATA but when I try to backup all my drives onto 8TB external USB drives, those that are internal SATA backup perfect but those on the existing USB-3 card will stall/timeout. I felt the problem was the USB hub and having a second card with one or 2 ports (I'd only use one) that I can backup to would be my answer. This was a cheaper solution than simply buying all new larger Internal SATA drives. Bottom line, my problem may be the old motherboards (both different manufacturers) I'm using but then that's what people sell USB-3 cards for isn't it.... Besides, the frustration of my second server telling me there was no driver on the CD was a huge disappointment.

Good little HDMI upgrade for connectivity
Still running strong on an old desktop upgrade a year or two later (for general purpose PC on TV connectivity). Happy with my purchase

Bought it for my oldest pc… bios dated 2006, installed it in a PCIe x16 gen 2 slot, installed the drivers… and hey presto… all works well with an AC1300 WiFi adapter and an external USB m.2 1TB device, simultaneously even! Thanks!

Was looking for a USB 3.0 card for my server (passing USB drives into ESXi 6.7 VMs). This card does not run the fans up nor does it require a 5V power input - perfect for server use.
