I have a basement. Need I say more? I purchased 5 different small electric dehumidifiers to compare them in terms of noise and effectiveness. This one won the comparison hands down. It's quieter, seems pretty solid, & does a great job of clearing any mildew smell from my 260 sq ft family room. Some of the others didn't, were noisier, or as I found out, not easy to empty the container when it was full. This dehumidifier is super easy to empty. It has an automatic off when it is full, a red button comes on to alert you, and all I have to do is press the buttons on either side of the body and it easily releases. I simply pick up the bottom container and empty it, then put it back under the body of the dehumidifier and it clicks into place. Easy. I had a large dehumidifier that rolled on wheels, but it was quite loud, and the container was too heavy when full to carefully empty. The other small dehumidifiers I purchased involved far more steps and as I said were not as effective, or more effective than this one even though they were more expensive. Three of the dehumidifiers called for me to 'slide' out the water container. Unfortunately, this was never smooth or easy to do which usually resulted in spilling water in the process. The 5th one was far too complicated and I couldn't get the water tank out. I'm planning to purchase 3 more of these Donatello Dehumidifiers for the other rooms in my basement. This is a great price for what they do. I love this product!

I originally got this to use around resin projects because it needs low humidity. Now I use it in my new house because where I live is extremely humid. It can’t get rid of it all (but I think I’d need an industrial sized one to actually get rid of it all)But it’s making a huge difference. It’s actually noticeable when it’s been running. Used to I’d sit on my couch or in a chair and it actually felt wet. With this I don’t get that feeling. I will say though, if you have a bigger house you may need a few. However my house is small and it’s perfect for the living room and kitchen. I will say it’s a little noisy, but it’s not too bad and you learn to drown it out fast. Definitely would recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Late review, because when it stopped working I put it out of sight and forgot about it.Live in an old house in atrociously humid New Orleans, bought this for a closet. Worked fine for maybe a month. Slow to fill, but good enough I guess.After a month it was glitchy. I would empty the water reservoir and when I turned it back on it would immediately click off and say it was full.So I figured maybe it had a sensitive sensor? I’d leave it off for a day thinking maybe it’d dry out. That worked maybe twice.After that it just constantly says water full and won’t run.Oh and that closet? Just spent the last three days dealing with mold. Only reason I remember this worthless thing.So yeah. I do not recommend.

This particular model the whole top lifts up to remove the water accumulated nothing cam be damaged. Where my other model somehow if u don't shut off and remove it the machine is damaged. This model is very pretty with the lights and change color once full. It's quiet and I use in my office to dehumidify. So easy to use and easy to clean.

I am very happy with this dehumidifier. I have it in my bedroom and am surprised at how much moisture it removed in just 23 hours. It is quiet, love the colored night light and it's easy to set up and empty, clean

It’s amazing how much moisture this little dehumidifier collects! I have this in my bathroom and it’s been running almost nonstop since it arrived (5 months?) easy to use, easy to empty. Sound is noticeable but quieter than our refrigerator and doesn’t keep us awake at night, might even been soothing to those who like fan noise. I don’t use the colored light feature but there are many colors to chose from. Overall very happy with this hardy little thing.

This humidifier worked great for 4 months and then just stopped working. It was collecting the water and pulling it from the bathroom. Does it do the job? yes. Did it break too early and was a waste of my money? Yes.

We recently moved into a 900ft² with a moisture problem, but didn't have the space or budget for a huge dehumidifier. Purchased the small one for the bathroom and have been pleased with the results--even with the exhaust fan running constantly I still get a couple inches of water daily.Carne back to purchase an additional unit for the other side of the house, so I'm definitely happy with my purchase. It's easy to use, easy to empty, whisper-quiet, and a perfect (and colorful) nightlight for the bathroom or a bedroom.
