Firstly the filmsTopgun is a great 80's action movie about jet fighters and internal conflict but ultimately about teamwork and heroism. I was never a massive fan of this film as a kid but I still enjoyed a viewing. If you like slightly cheesy but with a serious tone and high stakes 80s movies, you'll enjoy this.TG:Maverick is what I would call a rare great sequel to a good movie. Not better than the first, but as the quality of filmmaking should have appreciated (even though it has depreciated realistically), this film's quality has most definitely appreciated with the times and is a solid, high stakes, modern action movie that is highly entertaining for any movie goer.The disc Topgun - A really nice look even at modern standards. You can clearly tell it is an older film and doesn't have the sharp digital look movies have these days, however some people prefer that and I didn't really notice this while watch it for a non critical purpose. Sound is great but again you can tell this was filmed and recorded a while back, though considering it is over 30 years old, it is of high quality.Some cool special features included too, which is a bonus.The disc TG:Maverick - I couldn't find anything besides greatness when watching this movie. It is sharp, bright, clear and clean throughout and the sound even more so. Standard watching is at the top. This is made even better with large high quality screen with powerful atmos surround sound brings out the quality of this UHD disc. Also some cool special features included.A really nice set for any movie collector or film lover.

Well produced and very enjoyable

For those of us old enough to be around when the original film came out and have wanted a second film for so long you won't be disappointed.Top Gun Maverick is a great second part that charts where an older Pete Mitchell who is Captain is still in Navy as a Test Pilot but still as reckless as he was in the first film.There are lovely moments where we get to remember Mavericks friend Goose and we now see an older version of Gooses son nicknamed Rooster.As Tom Cruise says he never wanted to do a second film unless the story was right and no CGI for flying sequences and to his credit they are actually really flying with Tom Cruise flying his own plane in the movie as well.If you loved the first film this is a must to have alongside the original film.

Love the movies, seen them both multiple times since the first film came out in 1986, the first film is a little grainy picture wise, the second film utterly amazing picture quality. But what really elevates these two is the embedded soundtrack. If you have a surround set up (I have an LG Dolby Atmos soundbar) then you'll be well chuffed it's simply awesome 👍🏻I've knocked one star off for Amazon's packaging, the hard case was broken into 3 bits, come on Amazon 👎🏻

The dvd arrived safely packed and the sleeve as well as the dvd case and dvd's were all in excellent condition.Top Gun the first dvd - good to see again, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed it when it was originally released.Maverick - IMO this film outdid the first. I was hooked from start to finish - for me Tom Cruise/Maverick at his best
