Q: Is it possible to increase or decrease total mechanical adcance with this?

No. It will only modify when the advance comes in. Softer spring brings it in at lower rpm. Stiff spring; higher rpm. Total timing is unchanged.

Q: Will this fit a OMC 2.5l?

This will fit and large cap gm style hei distributor.

I would say yes,, I usually run 2 med springs in my set ups Once installed check for smooth operation, set timing at 10 with heavy springs at idle then switch to the 2 lightest rev it up and see what is available from the new setup of course subtract your initial 10 degrees.. probably you’ll get about 18-22 available I run 14 initial 20 additional from my distributor all in by 2850 rpm and 10 vac advance 400 Pontiac

Q: What are the 4 white parts for and what r they for?

The white bushings are installed onto the pin that the weight is installed on. Early models did not have them and some late models did. There may be different sizes in the kit of which I am not sure of but sometimes the pins will get worn and the bushings come in handy to keep the weights from moving around and affecting the timing curve. Some people do not use them but I will if there is too much play in the hole on the weight. Hope that helps. Also remember that you need to know how much total advance your distributor will have at full advance. Lets says it is 20 degrees and you want a total of 34 at 3000 then you would set your base timing at 14 degrees to get your total. Good Luck !
