I would buy these again for sure, though I don't anticipate ever running out of these.In my tests, the distilled water (freshly distilled at home) measured around 7.0, as it should be. The photo doesn't show the slight green tinge to the strip- it did only faintly change color, which actually makes sense if you think about it. Neutral shouldn't affect the strip in any way. So my distilled water was probably actually a couple tenths above 7.0, on the basic side.I got these strip for use in making salicylic acid gel ($6-8 for a <1oz tube OTC vs pounds of the stuff for $35 in supplies). The pH was supposed to be around 4 I think. Mine was a bit more acidic at 3.5, but by the time I measured the pH I had already used the gel overnight and it seemed to work just like the OTC stuff.I remeasured the distilled water and salicylic gel mix again later in the week and got the same results, so the strip do seem to be consistent.

Strips are converniently packed and strips can be pulled out very easily. My 8 year old son loves to experiment and determine pH level of various drinks ( water, milk, juices, packed fluids etc) using thes strips. The strips have helped us educate kids to make healthy food choices. I would strongly recommend these strips. The comparison chart makes it super easy to understand the results.

Wow! I was about to write a scathing review because I have tried it on every bodily fluid I have over the course of a week and there was no change in the color of the strip. However, something stopped me and I read the seller’s statement about the color not changing when the liquid tested has a neutral pH. I decided to try it on other liquids I know are acidic. The strips worked perfectly! I am thrilled!I love that these are paper and not plastic, so they can be flushed or disposed of in the garbage without adding more toxins to our world.I do wish better instructions were included with the strips that explained that there would be no color change with neutral pH. It would save frustration on the part of the consumer and reduce negative ratings and reviews.

These pH strips are excellent performing indicators of acid-base solutions. I use them to test the alkalinity of my urine in order to maintain my interstitial fluids. The amount of test strips provided are great value for the price. The strips are packaged in plastic water tight containers - 2 per container. These are the only pH test strips that I buy.

It's easy to use, but I couldn't find the color on the palatte that matches the color on the strip completely. You'll need to guess the range.

These are perfect for simple science/chemistry labs. They are also affordable. I'm a teacher for middle school science and I also do home education with my oldest son (due to an autoimmune disorder.)He used these in a chemistry assignment and they did exactly what they were meant to do.If your strips aren't showing much change it is more than likely due to similar/low pH levels. Try much more acidic substances and mixtures (vinegar/OJ/etc.) and you will see a change.
