Love the Tring barlow
Perfect Dual-Purpose Accessory! The Celestron 93640 exceeded my expectations. As both a 2x Barlow and a T-adaptor for astrophotography, it’s incredibly versatile. The build quality feels solid and durable with a sleek silver/black finish, and it connects seamlessly to my telescope. Using it as a Barlow gives me sharp, detailed views of the moon and planets, and when paired with my DSLR it easily transforms into a reliable T-adaptor for capturing images. I love that I don’t need two separate accessories—this does both jobs perfectly. An excellent value and a must-have for anyone looking to expand their viewing and imaging capabilities!

Great product, saves money and pleases with results
Most happy with my purchase. First the minor cons. When I attach my DSLR camera to this T-adapter WITHOUT using the Barlow, it won't focus. I have to use the Barlow for it to gain focus. This, however is not a significant con to me because I always use the Barlow with my DSLR, otherwise magnification is just too low, so I don't really care that it doesn't focus with less magnification, I care that it focuses perfectly with 2X magnification. Then the second negative issue is that the adapter itself fits a little loose in the focuser, I feel as if it could fall off with the weight of the camera even after tightening the screws... but truth is that it hasn't fallen off and I have even moved the telescope from one place to another with the camera still on it. Now the significant pros. The Barlow is spectacular. It works perfectly as the Barlow for any regular eyepiece, it just screws on to the eyepiece and its magnification is doubled. When I bought this I was actually tempted to buy another Barlow only for eyepieces thinking it wouldn't work as I wished (although I knew it was compatible), but I gave it a shot and bought this one only to try it out. It was the best decision, a true money saver. Because of the price of this product I though that images would definitely degrade on some level when using it on regular eyepieces... but until now I do not see any degrading whatsoever. They remain as crisp and perfect as they were without using the Barlow. Additionally, although (as I have said) my camera won't focus when I don't use the Barlow, when I DO use the Barlow with it (which is always) I can even focus on close land objects (500 feet or even less). I was not expecting this, but this allows me to take pictures not only of star (primary use), but even close-ups of the surrounding Andes mountains (review written from Ecuador, South America). To me this is a true "2 in 1" product, I completely recommend it to anyone looking for a T-adapter for their DSLR. I would have given it a 4.5 if I could, but the two mentioned cons could be worked on by Celestron for it to be a perfect 5/5 to me. PS. Equipment used with this product: Dobsonian Orion XT6 telescope; 25mm and 10mm plossl eyepieces; Sony Alpha A55 DSLR with T-Mount.

Great product for my needs
T-Adapter is well made and works perfectly for our older Canon 350D and Nikon D3100 & D3200 dslr cameras (with the right T-rings-make sure you order or possess the right size T-ring before investing in this unit) in our Bushnell Northstar Goto reflector telescope. The cameras fit securely and the barlow lens on the T-adaptor is a nice touch. Barlow lens is removable too. Great unit for the price.

Well built
I purchased this Celestron T Adapter/Barlow 1.25 Universal to be able to connect my Nikon D3200 to my Coulter 13" Dobsonian telescope. The unit is well machined and fit like a glove. You do have to buy a T-Ring for your particular camera and well as this adapter/Barlow. Celestron makes a good product there also. You don't have to buy the second T-Ring that Amazon recommends. I would recommend this product. The product came quickly and was well packaged.

Cheap entry to Astrophotography
I bought this T Adapter with this T ring Fotodiox T/T2 Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon Mount Camera, Nikon D1, D2, D3, D3x,D3s, D100, D200, D300, D300s, D700, D40, D40x, D50, D60, D70, D70s, D80, D90, D3000, D3100, D5000, D7000 . With the two products together I was easily able to mount my Nikon D5100 to my StarBlast 6 telescope. I am really happy with this little Barlow T Adapter. I like that the barlow is detachable. I was able to take some cool pics by taking the barlow lens off attaching my moon filter to the t adapter then re-attach the barlow after the moon filter.

I am very new to astronomy and hadn't heard of a Barlow Lens before but as a complete beginner, I think this is a must have. It's very cheap to buy and doubles the magnification of each eye piece which has so far provided some fantastic views of the moon and a couple of other bits. Prior to buying this, I spent a lot of time on the various forums doing research but the impression I get is that astronomy is one of those areas where everybody has an opinion on the various bits available and the people with more expertise can be quite critical to certain products that are in practice, absolutely fine for the beginner/novice. I think this product is a great price point, very good quality and unless you are significantly more experienced, is likely to do the job perfectly for you.

I used it with a Meade LX90 to attach my Canon 60D, (aditional converter needed), works best when directly attached to the telescope body without any 90-deg. prisms. The adapter can be fully dissasembled and reasembeled so if you want you can remove the barlow lens in order to reduce the magnification.
