These collection is fun and the kids love to read them.

Brilliant to help children read

Lovely reading scheme. This particular compilation was much more difficult than the other level 2 books in this reading scheme with lots of tricky with longer stories and many more tricky words (one, two, your, says, Mr, was, some, come, good, wash, school, are, he she, her, to, into, she's, their, they, what, me, do) than in other songbirds level 2 books so probably better for kids that are already very secure at level 2. I like the way they list the tricky words which are going to come up before the story so you can go through and practise them first. The stories are engaging and the illustrations are good too.

Great book for an beginner reader. My Son is in Junior Infants (age 4-5) and this is a little ahead of what they are doing in school, but he manages really well and can read some of the easier ones no problem. Great for his confidence, he loves that he can read his own story. These stories are more fun and less like homework.

I bought the whole series from level 1 to level 6. Good fun books to help our 4 year old read (level 1). They follow the national curriculum so you can give your child extra help with their reading without compromising what they are already learning. Great stories as you'd expect from Julia Donaldson.

My 4 year old son who hates reading finds this much more interesting than Chip Biff and Kipper! Hence, reading more willingly. Why don't they replace the Chip Biff and Gang series with this instead!
