Molotov Obsession: The Complete Duet

Lengthy
Books have more sex than story after awhile. The action fades until the end of the second book. There is a fair amount of repetition so found myself skimming quite a bit. Enjoyed development of relationship between Nikolai and his son. Did not see a relationship beyond sex between Nikolai and Chloe even though they get married. Books did not really hold me spellbound. Just an average read.

Dragged with useless inner repetitive monologue
I wish I could say I enjoyed this, but I didn't. I loved everyone except chloe. That chick had my temper rising and blood pressure skyrocketing. Or maybe it was how the author had this girl constantly repeating herself like a broken record. I'm telling 50% of this book is just Chloe and her repetitive inner monologue. I just wanted to throw my book across the room! He's a monster, my captor, evil, the devil. And the thing is, the author is trying to force feed you this idea of this man being everything under the sun horrible. But the writing speaks of that not truly being the case. This Russian god is so tender, so sweet, considerate and loving in a way that just makes you fall in love. But chloe is determined for you to believe what she wants you to. I honestly wanted to stop reading a few times. I just couldn't believe this idiöt women. Everything she says and does is so childish stupid. You can't help but not like her character at all in this wannabe dark theme romance. As a teacher, she was lovely, but that was it. For someone being smart, she was just to entirely the author really missed a good opportunity to make this a great story, but failed by dragging it on and on with complete nonsense.

Be aware that this is mostly graphic sex
Didn't realize what I was getting into by choosing this book. Bit over the top but well written and some characters are likeable.

$10 for books I already had
I already read this series when it came out. When it said Complete Duet I thought I was getting an addition book combined with the previous release. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Boxset of Chloe and Nikolai's duet
This is a boxset of a duet I read as individual books. My reviews of the individual books are below:Devil's Lair, Book One4.5 StarsI loved this first book in what I think will be a duet featuring new characters from one of my favorite authors. It is a dark romance though not all that dark on my personal scale at all, and not the darkest from this author by any means.I was engrossed in the relationship dynamics in this story from the beginning, and absolutely loved that the hero has a son he has trouble connecting to. There are several side characters that have the potential to have their own books down the line but the focus is on Chloe and Nikolai, who have an instant, strong connection to one another but are both trying to unravel the mysteries of each other's pasts. Nikolai is the intense, dangerous but fiercely protective and possessive hero we all love, and might be my favorite hero from this author since Julian. As usual, the writing and editing are top-notch and flow beautifully to a climactic ending that sets up the story for book two without being a cliffhanger. I can't wait to find out how Nikolai and Chloe resolve the issues they are facing, both between each other and the outside world.Angel's Cage, Book TwoThe Molotov Obsession duet is as well-written as all of this author's books, and for me the best thing about it was that Nikolai was a single dad. In fact, I wish there would have been even more scenes with him and his son, with and without Chloe. I also loved his obsession with Chloe, and how it manifested in this book, though I will say that despite all of the requisite sexy scenes I didn't actually feel the heat and chemistry between Chloe and Nikolai. I felt the emotion of his connection to the child, but not between each other. Alternatively, I was extremely intrigued by the powerful chemistry between secondary characters that had just a couple of lines in relation to each other, and am really hoping there is a plan to tell their story. On my personal scale this duet wasn't dark at all, maybe just slightly edgier than a contemporary romance, but I think that will definitely come down to each reader to judge for themselves.3.5 ⭐️

very good
A good story with a dark romance, lots of twists and turns, drama and suspense. A little too much inner and descriptive dialogue at times which made reading feel slow in parts but, on the whole a good story and a good read. I look forward to the next. I was very miffed at the expense in Canada for the second book, the prices are higher than any of seen so far and that is very disappointing.

Wow! What a ride!
I got so caught up in their story. Both with their own fears and secrets. It started with a bang, and never slowed down. Nikolai with such a loving heart hidden by his belief that he was a cursed monster, Chloe coming to terms with all of the secrets and damaging history, and their love story that ensued in spite of it all. Now I have to read Alina's story!

A gem of a duet
Loved Nikolai and Chloes story. Wasn’t as fasted paced as some of AZ other books but a gem of a read all the same. Good storyline packed with suspense, intrigue, secrets and explosions in and out of the bedroom .
