It fits the description perfectly. This is a very simple object

I had one of these bells but unfortunately lost it and so I brought this replacement however it is just nowhere near as good. The tone and pitch on the previous one was excellent and when it rang the sound would travel and you could easily hear it. With this one its like a dull ring and despite how hard I ring the bell it quiet and the sound does not travel at all like my old one. It is like the pitch and tone of this bell is very dull and quiet.
