M1916 M1 Experimental Canvas Holster for M1911 .45

This holster works great for my 1911 style pistol. A friend tried his Beretta 92FS pistol and it worked great also. Had another friend try his Taurus 455 Tracker in .45 auto. While only a 5 shot revolver, it fit perfectly in this holster. It also clips on the WW2 style pistol belts and has a slot on the back for use as a slide on type holster for other types of pistol belts. Overall, I haven't found anything to dislike about it. Also, it's quieter than the normal leather holster for the 1911 style pistols. All in all, give it a try. You will probably be as surprised as I was on the quality and versatility of this holster.

I've been looking to add a M1916 M1 canvas holster to my web gear for woods walking and hog hunting for a number of years. While looking through items the other day I stumbled upon these made by World War Supply. There was a glitch with Amazon's inventory when ordering, but it finally went though, and World War Supply even contacted me. This holster is very well made out of good heavy canvas. The lift-the-dot fastener on the flap and holster is well secured and mounted, plus it is correct for the holster (unlike brass snaps put on by some companies). My mil-spec 1911A1 slid right in just like it is supposed to do. The brass hangar has a couple of minor burrs that I will take off with a file before mounting it but that would literally be my only complaint, and it is so minor that I just can't ding the rating for it. Well stitched, and the drain grommets are well mounted. Overall very well made, sturdy, but flexible canvas. I love it, and I think it will wear well. WILL do business with again!
