The North FaceClass V Sunshield Hat

If you have a big head, you need to look elsewhere as this hat is one size and it almost doesn’t fit on my head and I am very average sized. But if you are average size or smaller, you just found a gem. This hat is fantastic. It is comfortable and it does it’s job to keep the sun off your neck superbly. The neck part is nice and lightweight and the hat is a baseball hat instead of a safari hat like all of its competitors. I am extremely happy with this purchase. Enjoy.

My husband bought this to keep the sun off his neck on our long walks (4-10 miles in the Southern California sun across all times of the day), and it works GREAT! He loves the adjustable back cap strap to help keep it in place for a variety of head sizes/shapes, and there is enough stiffness and weight (without being heavy) of the neck cape that keeps it from lifting up in breezes. The cape is NOT removable. There is an under the chin string with adjustable clamp, but he hasn’t had to use it and just keeps it behind his head. His only complaint is the cape blocks some sounds from his periphery (it covers his ears), which makes some conversation with him difficult at times and he misses some sounds around him.
