Magno Soap 3.53 oz./100gr. 4 Bars

I have used this soap since I discovered it when I lived in Spain back in the late 60's. It smells great, not overpowering nor either feminine or masculine but just plain clean smelling. Its an amazing soap. I have used it later walking Caminos across Spain where I used it as body soap, shampoo, and even clothes soap when I washed a few of my underwear in the evenings. The soap is amazing for its unique freshness smell. And where it really excels is as a shaving soap. In fact I vaguely recall that is where it first was offered, made in the village of La Toja, Galicia, Spain. I take a bar traveling and just lather up th bar in my hands, apply to my face and commence to shave. The only drawback is that recently the size and shape has changed, even though the descriptive verbiage on the website on Amazon still carries it the way it once was for so many years. I suppose one could say that it is not "truth in advertising". Whereas it was once an oblong, oval shape bar weighing 4.4 ounces (150 g), it is now smaller and a different shape. Now it only weighs 3.5 ounces (100g) and is a square shape, much like soap is offered today with so many lesser brands. I, for one, do not like it. I would much prefer the older, larger oblong oval shape and heavier. I guess I could return it for a refund but then I would have to choose an alternative, more modern soap and, after giving it considerable thought, decided against it. There is nothing else to compare, in my estimation.

The Magna soap line is a top-quality soap, especially with its high glycerin content, and fresh fragrance.

Many years ago I loved Magno Soap. Deep, rich, black, creamy, special, haunting but not overpowering, clean fragrance. Someone gave me some bars that they'd got in Spain. But in life everything changes. Everything comes to an end. I wasn't able to get used to this new Magno soap. That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it; it just isn't what it once was. The fragrance was too much for me.

Love this black soap. Bought my first bar in Spain at least 35 years ago. Great for the face. When I got back to New York, couldn't find it anywhere. A friend suggested AMAZON, and sure enough, they had it. It not only cleans your face, it lathers up easily, and moisturizes the the ski. Beautifully. When I tell people my age (80), no one believes me and swears I'm 60. You must try this soap!

On a whim I decided to search for the soap that I loved years ago that had long since disappeared from my sources. Naturally, I was elated to find it once again available on Amazon. The shape of the bar is slightly different (if that matters to you) it’s no longer egg shaped -more rectangular with rounded corners-not as beautiful to look at, but that intoxicating fragrance is still exactly the same. Me So Very Happy!

Love this soap. I used it all the time when stationed overseas in early 1970s. I brought many bars back to the states and have been ordering them on Amazon for years. His wife.

I have used this soap in the past and remembered how much I liked it so looked to see if it was on Amazon. Of course it was! I like it as it is a glycerin soap, non drying, but it's the scent that is the main draw for me. I cannot describe it but it's neither too flowery nor too "masculine", I need a word like Umami, only one for scent. The soap bars themselves are a dark brown. The best part is that the scent carries over into your washing experience, bathing or just as a hand/face soap. Most of the scented products I try smell nice in the package but it doesn't really carry over. This does!
