I have a 150-pound Saint Bernard and this is without a doubt the best leash I've ever owned for the following reasons:- Dual leash handles. With a dog as strong as Monkey, having the second handle that's 18" from the leash clip means I have better control when necessary, which is incredibly important since we live in a city. Major bonus points for the fact that both handles are padded, so if Monkey does pull, it doesn't hurt my hands.- Quick release buckle on the handle. With a 150-pound dog, tying him up to go run an errand can be a real pain - especially if I am carrying something else, like a coffee or a bag. The quick release buckle makes securing him a MILLION times easier. What took a minute or two now takes seconds.- Great quality. We've been using this leash for a couple of weeks now and it's clear we'll be using it for a long time to come.If you have a large dog, I cannot recommend this leash more highly. It may sound silly to be this excited about a leash, but I didn't even realize how inferior all of the other leashes I've used were until we got this one. Total game changer.

This is a good leash. I really like the lower handle for extra control when we come upon wildlife (fox, deer, etc). The padding on both handles is very nice; comfortable to hold for long walks.The one downside: in less than 2 years (20 months to be exact) the lower handle is fraying. You can see this in the photos. My dog is not a chewer. I don't know how to contact the seller, but it says there's a lifetime warranty. If the seller responds to this review or the question that I posted, and they replace the leash under the lifetime warranty, I will gladly give this product 5 stars.

This leash is amazing! We have a foster dog who needs to be on leash around our cat, so being able to unbuckle the handle easily to tether him to chair legs and the like is very handy. I love the shorter handle for more control.I previously purchased a Kong leash very similar to this one for more than 3x the price of this one that had the same features, but it had several drawbacks that this leash doesn't have. First, the buckle and clip on the Kong leash were very heavy and made the leash unpleasant to hold for long walks. I imagine the weight on the dog's collar wasn't good for him either. The other drawback of the Kong leash was that the handles were far too padded to make it practical to hold the leash in a way that gives you the most control (looped over the thumb and gripped in the palm of your hands.)This leash solves that problem! The handles are well-padded but not cumbersome, and the buckle and clip are lightweight. I like that they're plastic because they don't heat up if I leave the leash outside and they don't hurt if the leash accidentally drops on the dog. (I'm a klutz.) I can't imagine a better designed leash for the price! The only thing I'd like to see is the ability to shorten the leash because I'm short and need to choke up on the leash about 6" to avoid the dog constantly stepping on it. Not a deal breaker though.

This is our favorite leash and we always have one as a backup just in case (currently we have three in different colors). It’s reflective, strong enough (our Bernese Mountain dog puppy chew through one once when left unattended) but with proper supervision it lasts a long time. The handles are super helpful and soft - and we use the closest one to the collar when we need more control to keep the pup close to us. We absolutely love the clasp on the main handle that allows us to clip the leash to the railing, the tree or the table leg at the restaurant patio- perfect way to secure your dog while still having an attractive leash in place. Great leash all together!

We bought this leash thinking in was a cool idea to have the extra handle so that we wouldn't have to wrap the leash around our hands when we needed to shorten in up and have more control. But we did not expect how truly beneficial the extra handle would be. We received the leash the day before we took a long road trip with our dog from the east coast to Chicago. It was our first trip like that for our big puppy (already 55 lbs). The extra handle came into so much use for being in new and sometimes dangerous situations like rest stops where there were big semi-trucks which our puppy had never seen before. The extra handle also was great for continued training of proper walking with our puppy. Our dog is a country dog, so when we got to Chicago, having the extra handle for better control and safety so that he would not pull on walks through the city streets was a blessing. Finally, our dog had never been around little kids before, so when we were staying with family and indoors, we kept him on leash and the extra handle helped us control and train him when he wanted to chase or jump on the kids.It is for all these reasons that this leash has become our favorite, go-to leash. We highly recommend it.

Fantastic leash!!! Meets ALL of our needs from a leash! Love that I have the option to allow my Lab to roam a little further from me or grab the second handle and have him close to me. Love the quick release latch/buckle by the handle that allows me to tie my pups up effortlessly! Love the cushioned handle because Ruger tends to pull! Overall, a quality leash that is worth every penny!

Ok. So my 55lb labradoodle LOVES this leash. When I take it off of him he grabs it w his mouth and brings it back to me, nudging me to put it back on. The padded handle is great and the dual handle loops are perfect for taking your dog on walks and gently pulling back on them as they try to pull on you. Its great for training your dog to let you lead vs them leading. I travel a ton with my dog Simba and the dual handles make going thru security and the airport much easier. Highly recommend this leash. Its a must if you have a medium/large dog.
