Can horney be used in it instead of oil?

Lube would work better,butt if you use enough oil the kernels burn hot , yet none stick to the pot. If there’s enough horney, no oil would be needed, butt it would need to be very horney. I would recommend avocado oil instead.

Has anyone tried popping more then 2.5oz of popcorn in this machine?

Yes, I doubled it up and it popped fine. I do feel that it ejects too many un-popped ones. Hopefully it helps... Still cool to use and have...
