Mostly good
This is a very nice set of bathing/cleansing products that I only have two problems with. The first is that the Konjac sponge feels cheap and I would say that it isn't the 'real' deal. Real Konjac sponges cost more than this whole set, so it really can't be a genuine one. The other problem I have is with the natural sea sponge. In school I learned a poem about sea sponges..."A sponge is not as you suppose a funny kind of weed, it lives beneath the deep blue sea, an animal like you and me." Now I know that with sustainable harvesting that sponges can regenerate similar to plants, and areas aren't being depleted which in turn threatens coral. But I still can't get it out of my mind that a sponge is an animal. This set is advertised as Vegan friendly, when thanks to the sponge it really isn't. I know it is eco friendly compared to a manmade sponge, but I just can't bring myself to use it. I would have much prefered that the set have no sponge at all. But that is just my preference of course.Other than those two things I am very happy with the set. I especially like the muslin cloth which I use to pat dry my face after my cleansing routine. The sisal bag is my husband's favourite. He likes to have a good exfoliate using his soap in the bag. My daughter's favourite is the back loofah. The nail brush works well but it does tend to shed bristles easily.

Great gift set
This attractively boxed but simple design for a toiletries gift set will please many who are trying to be environmentally friendly. The large natural sea sponge has some big holes and mainly tiny ones. It's not the best sponge I've ever seen as it has been trimmed rather untidily, however when it is hydrated it is very soft and lathers very well. The loofah back scrubber looks like an oven mit with 2 wooden handles which help with grip. The loofah is sufficiently wide and rough enough to provide a decent scrub. The Konjac make-up sponge feels a little plasticky but, is smooth on the skin. Not sure I would use the very thin small square of muslin. I like the soap bag as it is very abrasive and makes the skin feel really clean and it doubles up as a soap keeper which can be hung up with the loop. The varnished/polished wooden nail brush has cacti bristles and is soft but stiff enough to get under the nails for a gentle clean. It is not as efficient as the nylon nail brushes I've used in the past. There is a lot of shedding.

All-over body care
This is a great assortment of products designed for all over body care including face and fingernails. All of the products are well made and very useful, my favourite being the loofah back scrubber that is a delight. Note that the natural sponge is classified as an animal rather than a plant, so watch out if you are considering gifting to a vegetarian or vegan as it may not suit their ethics. The box set is very well thought out with the natural sponge and a Konjac sponge for the face, a muslin cloth for general cleansing, a nail brush, soap bag for exfoliating, which includes a hanging loop and that fab loofah.Everything comes efficiently box and without any plastic waste, so a big tick. If you are considering gifting (and this is a great thing to gift, subject to the caveat about the natural sponge), there is also a very handy instruction sheet that tells you how to get the most out of each component. A good pampering set and potential gift for self or others.

Zero waste and biodegradable - a perfect eco-conscious gift...
If you're looking for a perfect gift for an eco-conscious friend or relative, this bath, shower and beyond boxed set from Skin Unique could be worth considering. Zero waste and biodegradable, this gift set will pass even the closest scrutiny from the most keen of eco enthusiasts.Inside there's a good range of products including a natural sponge, beech wood nail brush, muslin cloth, konjac sponge, sisal soap saver bag and Egyptian loofah back scrubber. All the items are decent quality and it's always a pleasure to get a selection of items - all of which are very useable. When you think of the price points of equivalents of the various items in this set I believe it's pretty good value. Any eco conscious person, irrespective of gender, would appreciate this set. They'll thank you for it - and so will the planet.

A lovely detailed natural set
The media could not be loaded. I like the care that has gone into this set. They’ve added a detailed description sheet inside with how to use each product, the box clearly labels everything too. I’ve never had a back scrubber before so I appreciate the intention, making sure the customer knows each product and also has an idea of where it came from. Even when to replace your konjac sponge, which I didn’t know. I really like the soap saver bag and will use that one for a bar I have on the go already. Switching to natural products can be a gradual thing and a bit of a research nightmare. This set is a great starter pack for anyone in your life.
