It`s not padded,but is washable.My 6 yr.old grand-daughter likes to sit on the floor in front of her doll house on it.It did quickly get a snag! maybe from a toy or a pet.I`d like it better if it was padded. It`s good for carpeted floors ,but not hard floors!
