Well made but extremely tight fit

Bought a used Subaru did not come with a storage cover cheaper than the factory and fits perfect

The functionality is adequate and the install is easy. My only complaint is it's a bit expensive for what it is.

I ended up returning this because we decided to trade in our 2015 Forester and I didn't end up using the cover for the road trip it was purchased for. However, I was pleased with the construction of the cover. It installed very easily, and had perfect coverage of the rear trunk area (probably even better than the cargo cover that came in our brand new vehicle!) Would definitely recommend.

It came 2- 4 days early.Fits great in my 2016 Subaru Forester (with a manual back door)Higher quality and more durable than the stock cargo cover from my old 2005 Subaru.When I bought it from Amazon, I wasn't sure what the pieces attached to the slider were- They are little snap- on hooks that attach to the bars of the rear seat headrests.They slide along the length of the cargo cover so you can adjust them to where your headrests are in your car. They close the gap between the cargo cover itself and the back seats with a shorter flap. (In my car the flap does not pull snug, but it isn't a big deal.)Overall, you are getting a great product for the price!

I’ve waited 6 weeks until we’ve had some experience with this before reviewing it. Originally, I was inclined to give it 5 stars, but recently discovered a problem that caused me to only give it 4 stars.When the temperature reaches down to about 40°F outside, the cover WILL NOT retract all the way, and sometimes not at all if it is colder. After driving the SUV for some time and warming up the interior, it operates normally.Otherwise, I found it very easy to install and it has the good fit that I expected. There is a small gap (maybe about 3”) at the very back, but that is not a problem for us. It's not really noticeable unless you stand right up next to the back window and peer down inside. I don't know if the OEM part would be like this or not. The sides fit so that there is no gap. It looks very nice and you can’t tell by looking at it that it’s not OEM. The difference in price made me decide I could put up with the impeded retraction problem in cold weather.Purchased for & installed in 2014 Forester.

I purchased this a few months ago and wanted to give it some time before reviewing. As another review states, this cover works well until it gets cold (and this is Canada, so that is pretty often). It only retracts about half way once the temperature reaches around 5º C.There is a band of fabric that attaches to the backs of your headrest poles which prevents any gaps as other reviews have mentioned (probably something that's been updated recently). This is useful unless you are always putting down your back seats (I need to in order to fit my snowboard in the back) in which case it's useless and then the bit of fabric hangs down and obstructs the objects trying to go through.Overall, it does what it's supposed to in most cases so I won't be returning it but it's annoying that it doesn't work when cold out!
