1) Best feature is how well it kept ice! On a four day trip, having prechilled it for over a day with a block of ice, the day after I got home in hot weather, it still had ice. 2) Wheels are a plus for grandma here so ghat feature is indispensable. They rolled well over pine needle duff and on the small hills. 3) I like the latches to help secure the seal after opening to be sure it is fully closed. They are easy to flip up when accessing the ice chest contents. 4) The drain cap is big enough to easily grasp and remove or replace. It is attached so should not get lost. 5) Cup depressions in the lid can be handy. 6) The drain was secure with no leaks in my car or camp. Now less perfect points: 1) The handles are sturdy but the one you pull the chest with is too short so it is awkward, especially when the chest is full and heavy. 2) I expected the latches to be as secure as they are but don't be fooled into thinking they keep wildlife out. Bears and raccoons are capable robbers! The bears ate our bacon and crepes! 😂 3) The drain is oddly, inconveniently located on the long side rather than the short side. It works but is more of a hassle. Overall this chest is great at storing food on ice, It functions as well as I hoped! It is easy to clean. All of it for this price point is very sturdy, great quality, and with care should last for years.

I’ve been using the Igloo 70-quart cooler on my fishing trips, and it’s been rock solid. It holds ice all day long, even under the Texas sun, and keeps everything cold and fresh. The design is compact but sturdy, and the built-in measuring stick and cup holders are smart features that really come in handy out on the water. I’m so glad I ordered this cooler! It is super sturdy and well-built, with a solid lid that doubles as a seat when needed. Most importantly, it keeps ice frozen and drinks ice-cold for hours — even in the heat. The handles make it easy to carry, and the size is just right for a day on the boat or a gathering at the house! If you're on the fence, go for it.

Used this during a heat wave in Ohio. (80-95F) The cooler kept everything cool but the ice was melted after about 24 hours, so replaced the ice each day. Even without ice it stayed cold enough to not panic on the second day. It's light and with stuff in it can be lifted either alone or with help of one person depending on your strength and what's in it. The latch locks it very well and we even used it as a table during the one camping trip. I still put it under the picnic bench to be on the safe side. Looks very nice but easily scratched. Due to other reviews I saw I decided to sit on it for a bit and it seemed very sturdy. I weigh 140lbs and it didn't make any sound or anything.

Picked this up to use mostly for fishing. I don't need a cooler this size to hold ice for five days, since I have one of the Igloo 70 qt marine coolers for that already. This was mostly to use while surf and flats fishing for pompano and speckled trout, respectively. For that purpose it's just about perfect. Throw a couple of frozen plastic ice packs in, load it up with food and beverages enough for two people for a day and fill the rest with ice, and you've still got room to limit out on medium-sized fish like what I'm going after. In that configuration, it'll still have plenty of ice after a long day in the sun and it remains super portable. Construction is solid, with a top that's more than happy to double as a seat and handles that are both strong and comfortable to use. The only downer is the lack of a drain plug, but it's small enough to drain the old-fashioned way. This isn't a multi-day cooler, but at this size and price point, you shouldn't be expecting that anyway. Great for what it's designed for and doesn't break the bank - what's not to like?

Awesome cooler exactly what I was looking for. I used it for a livewell set up on my boat. It has a very strong lid that self supports when open, positive “snap” latches. The drain is ok don’t really like it but 5 stars easy
