Exceellent addition
There's lots of useful info and adventures here-enough to keep you going for quite some time. The Tumbarr adventure is worth it alone. I do feel the price is a bit on the high side-a pricepoint of 9.99 or 10.99 would be better. An excellent addition for your 4AD gaming collection!

A Great Find!
As an avid player of Four Against Darkness and always on the lookout for more gaming material, I was excited to find the first issue of the Lantern on sale on Amazon. I bought it and put a party through the Lair of the Four Headed Hydra adventure. It was well balanced with a good mix of story and fighting. The unique magic item my cavalier gained during it altered my concept of the character.I have plans to use the Curse of the Unliving Ones and the Four Against the Goblins adventures next. And there is still another adventure, a new minion type and a named boss that will make their way into my games. This book is great value and gaming goodness by the game's creator Andrea Sfiligoi.

More Options of Play
While Caves of the Kobold Slave Masters and Dark Waters offer good "story" pregenerated missions for level 1 heroes, here is a trove alternative missions to play for level 1 and 2 parties. The book comes with about 5 pregenerated adventures that range from varying levels of play (at the end of the book there is a level 5 expert adventure). Both Lantern books I think are superior to Kobold Slaves and DW because they can be played as sandbox adventures versus scripted lowlevel adventures. Many like to play 4ad in "Play Master" mode which means you play the game as more legosets as in, you take this piece from this supplement, this piece from this book, and add them together to create what you are looking for - instead of just strictly playing through one book at a time. So if you already own a few books in this series, these lantern zines are great to add in as they give you more options on how to play game more towards your own tastes.

Good but too expensive
Content is good and a fine addition to your 4AD game - but - way too expensive for what you get in this little zine.

Fantastic addition for the Four Against Darkness Core book.
I've been playing Four Against Darkness for a few months now and came across this awesome addition a month ago. I've been so caught up playing it it's taken me this long to write a review, but I'd 100% recommend this! You do need the core rule book "Four Against Darkness" to play this.
