Great camera
Great camera for the price, very easy to install, I did it myself also very easy to set up, you just download the app and it guides you through it! It's great quality, the picture is good, it gives a very wide view so has the extra security, the doorbell can be linked to your existing doorbell. Would highly recommend.

Worth The Money
I’ve been using the Blink Video Doorbell for a while now, and it’s been a great addition to my home setup. The HD video is clear during both day and night, making it easy to see who’s at the door. Motion detection is reliable and sends alerts quickly to my phone without too many false notifications. The two-way audio works well, and voices come through clearly on both ends. It’s really convenient to be able to speak to visitors or delivery drivers when I’m not home. Battery life has also been impressive — I haven’t had to worry about frequent battery changes, which was one of the main reasons I chose this doorbell. Setup was quick and straightforward through the Blink app, and it integrates smoothly with the rest of my Blink devices. Overall, it does exactly what I need without being overly complicated. If you’re looking for a simple, reliable video doorbell with good video quality and strong battery performance, this is a solid choice.

Decent basic doorbell camera
The Good: * Local Storage is a Game-Changer: This is the Blink Doorbell's standout feature. By utilizing the Sync Module 2 (sold separately or in bundles), you can store video clips locally on a USB drive. This eliminates the need for a monthly subscription, which is a huge plus for budget-conscious users. * Easy Setup: Setting up the Blink Doorbell went smooth. The app is intuitive, and the installation process is relatively quick. * Decent Image Quality: The camera provides clear 1080p HD video, which is sufficient for identifying visitors. * Motion Detection: The motion detection is customizable, allowing you to set activity zones and sensitivity levels, yet not as accurate as I still get false alerts. * Affordable Price: Compared to some of its competitors, the Blink Doorbell is generally more affordable, especially when factoring in the lack of required subscriptions. * Alexa Integration: If you're already invested in the Amazon Alexa ecosystem, the Blink Doorbell integrates seamlessly, allowing you to view live feeds on your Echo devices. The Not-So-Good: * Two-Way Audio is Basic: While the Blink Doorbell does have two-way audio, it's not as smooth or reliable as some other doorbells. There can be noticeable delays, and the audio quality isn't always crystal clear. This is a significant difference compared to a Ring doorbell which I owned. * Sync Module 2 Required for Local Storage: While local storage is a major benefit, it requires the purchase of the Sync Module 2 and a USB stick. This adds to the initial cost. * App can be slow: Some users have reported that the app can be a little slow to load live views. Overall: The Blink Doorbell is a solid choice for those seeking a simple and affordable video doorbell with local storage. It excels in basic functionality and eliminates the burden of recurring subscription fees. However, if you prioritize advanced features and high-quality two-way audio, you might want to consider other options. The decision ultimately comes down to your needs and budget. If you want basic security, and hate subscriptions, this is a great choice. If you want the best possible two way talk, and advanced AI features, you may want to look at other products.

Waste of money.
When we bought a set of Blink cameras ( which we are very happy with) for our home security, we decided to buy a Blink Video Doorbell camera to go with it. Installation was easy, but that was where the ‘ease’ ended. We quickly discovered that it does not come with a WiFi internal ringer. Supposedly you can connect it by wire, but the instructions were beyond me, and I don’t want to drill holes through my doorframe anyway. The only sound it makes is outside, and that is not audible inside the house. ”No problem,” I thought. Perhaps they sell a wireless internal ringer separately. They don’t. And it would appear from our research that none of the third-party internal boxes work with Blink either. (I’m happy to be corrected, but am not prepared to spend the money ‘just in case’.) Amazon/Blink say in their own blurb that to get an internal chime wirelessly, you have three choices: Buy a Blink Mini 2 internal camera, which has a chime included. Connect the camera to an existing Alexa, which will sound a chime when the doorbell is pressed. Connect it to your phone. There are drawbacks to each of these options. I don’t want, or need another camera, so the £29.99 cost for a Blink Mini 2 would be a waste. We have two Alexas. One is in our bedroom and connected to the doorbell easily. Unfortunately, our bedroom is not in earshot of our living room, so is not helpful unless someone calls while we are in bed. Our second Alexa, a ‘dot’, is in the living room, but no matter what we try (and believe me, we have spent more hours trying than is helpful to our mental health) it won’t sound a chime. It ‘says’ it is connected, but when the doorbell is pressed, it completely ignores it. We have managed to connect the doorbell to our phones (Google 6), here there are more problems. One is that unless you happen to have your phone nearby when someone is at the door, you can’t hear it. Second, related, is that the ‘chime’ on the phone is very quiet, even when apparently on full volume. But the biggest problem of all is that the chime sounds on the phone, randomly, anything from 10 seconds to 45 minutes after the bell is pressed. 10 seconds we can live with (although Amazon delivery drivers are long gone in that timescale), but a ‘lag’ of 45 minutes is just plain daft! It is almost as if the doorbell is playing knock-down-ginger with us. So, to summarize, the Blink Doorbell has a great camera. It looks stylish and is sold at a reasonable price. However, for us, at least, its functionality scores zero out of ten. We have paid over £28 to need to put a post-it note on the door saying, ‘Doorbell useless, please knock.’ To make matters worse, when I went back to Amazon for a refund, I found that the weeks of faffing around trying to get the wretched thing to work has meant I missed the Amazon returns window by just one day, so I can’t even get my money back. Chalk it up to experience. Now to find something else that actually works.
