The FLEXIMOUNTS overhead garage storage rack is incredibly sturdy and offers a ton of extra space—once it’s up, it really transforms the garage. However, it did take my husband and his friend quite a long time to install. The instructions are clear, but the process is definitely not quick, especially if you’re not used to ceiling mounts. That said, the finished result is solid, stable, and holds a lot of weight, so the effort was worth it. Overall, a great storage solution with a time-consuming setup

The storage rack provides good amount of storage in a garage with limited area but high ceiling. The rack is well made and the parts are of good quality, but it doesn't look sturdy. I will not load it to maximum capacity of 600lb. The unit lack lateral bracing which makes it wobbly when adding or removing items from storage. This also makes it vulnerable if your are in an area prone to earthquakes. For installation I couldn't trust the stud finder to locate the studs as the insulation in the ceiling causes the stud finder get confused. The main anchors that are connected to the ceiling joists are large and they must be installed exactly on the centerline of the joists otherwise their load capacity could be compromised. I had to locate the exact location of joists by poking holes in the ceiling drywall with a small nail. I plan to add some bracing to the overall installation to make it less wobbly and hope that the manufacturer adds these bracing as standard items.

Wonderful product. I purchased too large of a size. I didn't take into account the garage door opener. So I end up splitting the set to make (2) 4x4 sections. I was able to hang one side but have to work on the other side because its not supposed to be 2 sections. Be advised there is not enough parts to split the sections. Make sure to order the correct size. Not only that I also have vaulted ceilings in the garage which made things more difficult but was able to manage. Very versatile and looks great.

Difficulty with installation. My husband installed it with my 2 daughters and he said it took all 3 of them. It took a few hours, between prepping, and installing. It’s adjustable in height, a little shaky but it still feels sturdy. Happy with the product, and would recommend if you’re looking for an affordable solution to garage storage.

Bought and installed two of these over my garage doors with the help of my buddy (you need 2 people), perfect fit with the 22" clearance, provides me with 64 sqft of storage in a previously wasted space. I plan to install one more in my garage to add an additional 32 sqft of storage. These units are outstanding!
