Best Shower Mirror I’ve Ever Owned & The Suction Cup is Great
Before I saying anything else: THE SUCTION CUP IS GREAT - YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO USE IT. I’m reading all these reviews about how bad the suction cup is. Im guessing it’s because they’re just sticking it to the wall without locking it. The suction cup has a locking mechanism. You have to engage it to get it to work. Once you do, the mirror won’t budge until you unlock it. Now with that, let me do the rest of the review. I’m 57 years old and have been shaving in the shower almost as long as I’ve been shaving. I have sensitive skin and I’m prone to ingrown hairs and shaving in the shower helps a lot. Over the years, I’ve tried many different shower mirrors but this is the easiest and best mirror I’ve ever had. In the past, I’ve had mirrors that attach to the plumbing of the shower head (so that the water circulated through the back of the mirror it in order not to fog). Those were ok but the placement was obviously limited and you had to stand in awkward spot to use the mirror. I’ve had a number of mirrors where the mirror was treated with a coating that supposedly makes them “fogless.” These never really work as well as advertised and I wound up having to coat the mirror with a thin film is soap. Over time the mirror becomes dull and spotted. I even have a built-in shower mirror which is great and looks very good but had one major drawback - it needs about a 5 minute head start to get warm enough so that it doesn’t fog once the shower is turned on. So if I forget to turn the mirror on 5 minutes before I want to shower, I’m basically SOL. I bought this mirror for a second shower and it’s so simple yet ingenious. It mounts with a powerful suction cup (better than the suction cups of the “fogless” versions) but that’s not what makes the mirror so ingenious. Behind the mirror is a reservoir where you pour in warm or hot water which prevents the mirror from fogging. The mirror itself slides off a bracket that is adhering to the shower wall with the suction cup so you don’t need to reattach the whole apparatus each time. It takes literally seconds to remove the mirror, fill it with warm water and slide it back on and your good to go. The mirror will stay fog-free the entire time you’re in the shower. When your done showering, all you do is pour the water out. It is a perfect size - big enough to see your face but not too big to be obtrusive. I only wish they made a smaller travel size version. (The mirror I use for traveling requires you to hold it under the hot water but I usually need to do this 2-3 times while I’m shaving to prevent fog build up.) If you shave in the shower this mirror is the one to have. I can’t recommend it more highly.

Game changer! And the suction cup DOES work, if...
I read reviews of so many other so-called fogless shower mirrors and there were enough complaints about the anti-fog properties that I kept looking. I finally found this one, from the generally-trusted OXO brand.I then read many reviews here about the suction cup failing, but then many others indicating that you just need to use it correctly...and I have confirmed that this is indeed the case. There is a lever on the back that creates a very strong suction, but the instructions are utterly unclear about how to identify and use it. The lever is the same color plastic as the back and is hidden under the metal track. It took me quite a few minutes of studying it before I finally had my "DUH" moment and figured it out...it's NOT the tab on the suction cup itself...the "tab" is not the "lever".The other important item is to make sure that you mount the suction cup on a smooth section of wall or tile that does NOT contact any grout lines or any other areas where air could possibly sneak under the cup...that will defeat the suction. With these items implemented (use the lever to implement the suction, and don't mount it over any possible air pockets), the suction works flawlessly. As for the mirror itself, as instructed you need to fill the reservoir with hot water when you start your shower, and then it simply slides onto the suction mount and you're good to go, and it really is a fog-free experience. As my headline indicates, this mirror is a game changer for me...I can now comfortably wet-shave my face and my (bald) head with complete nick-free comfort, in contrast to years of discomfort over my sink.Highly recommend!!

Enhance Your Shaving Experience with the OXO Anti-Fog Mirror
The OXO Anti-Fog Mirror has become my go-to mirror for home, thanks to its superior anti-fog properties and innovative design. While it has its flaws, its overall performance and functionality make it a valuable addition to any bathroom.First and foremost, the anti-fog properties of this mirror are truly impressive. By filling the compartment in the back with hot water, the mirror remains fog-free for several minutes, allowing for a clear and uninterrupted shaving experience in the shower. It's a game-changer for anyone who prefers to shave while showering. The mirror's design, complete with a suction cup for easy mounting, adds to its appeal. While the suction cup holds up well, there is room for improvement in this area. Occasionally, the suction cup may fail or lose its grip, causing the mirror to come apart. However, the mirror itself is durable and resilient, so there's no risk of it breaking upon impact. One downside of the mirror coming apart is the need to dedicate time to putting it back together properly. Ensuring that the rubber seal is in place to prevent water leaks can be a bit of a hassle. However, once reassembled correctly, the mirror functions as good as new.In conclusion, despite its minor flaws, the OXO Anti-Fog Mirror delivers where it counts. Its anti-fog properties and innovative design make it a standout choice for anyone looking to enhance their shaving experience. With a few improvements to the suction cup mechanism, this mirror could easily become the ultimate bathroom accessory.

Suction cup not the greatest
Overall it's perfect for wet razor shaving in the shower, but even if I pour out the water it's seems like clock work at 2AM, the mirror suction cup releases and the thing crashes on to the shower floor with a bang creating a commotion waking up all the dogs and cats in the house. Not that big of a deal breaker, I just take down the mirror and store it conveniently on my shower caddy and put it back up when I need to shave, (about once a week), most of the time I use my Braun electric.
