Good scanner glad I chose this one software is Autel
Good scanner glad I chose this, it works well, has a lot of functions and covers a large number of manufacturers and models. It connects with the blue-tooth dongle easily, gets lots of regular updates over wifi. it automatically recognises the VIN and the car model, you can read codes for one area or scan all modules, normally there will be more than one error code when something fails (as sensors often feed multiple systems) but it will typically indicate the source of the issue e.g. "rear left wheel sensor". You can reset the codes after fixing, often codes latch when a fault occurs so need a tool to reset. The only slight downside is that there are very few on-line training videos for the tool, so sometimes when you are doing something for the first time you are offered a choice by the scanner that you are not sure how to proceed or what a choice means, but often the scanner will lead you through the steps.

Highly recommend
I recently purchased a car diagnostic scanner and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. The scanner was delivered quickly and arrived in perfect condition, with all the necessary components included. Using the scanner was incredibly easy and intuitive, even for a novice like myself. I was able to quickly and accurately diagnose a few issues. The scanner is also compatible with a wide range of vehicles, which makes it a versatile tool for anyone who works with cars regularly. Overall, I would highly recommend this car diagnostic scanner to anyone who needs a reliable and efficient tool for diagnosing car problems. The fast delivery and exceptional quality of the product make it an excellent value for the price. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and will definitely be using this scanner for years to come."

Excellent. It's not just another OBD reader.
I've always wanted an Autel scan tool, which in case you don't know is probably about as good a bit of scanning software as you can get outside of having access to the very expensive brand specific software / hardware that is licensed to dealerships and some garages, but I've always been reluctant to spend the £600+ required on an Autel tablet. This offers the Autel environment at a price point I can just about justify. It comes with a 2 year license, which doesn't mean it'll stop working after 2 years, just that if you want to continue updating it you'll then have to pay a further subscription (I buy old cars, it's unlikely I'll need to and it'll probably be on a phone app within a few years anyway). The amount you can do with this will vary by brand but generally speaking it is so much more advanced than your OBD/2 scanners. It will probably be able to read every single module on your car and also let you interact with them in various ways, not just read / reset codes or look at what numbers they output. I didn't realise how limited my recently bought £150 reader was till I attached this to my 2002 SLK. The £150 OBD reader had connected to the main engine management module and the ABS / traction control and it could read & reset codes which was handy. But this connects to over a dozen modules, things like the roof, locks, gearbox, lights.. you name it there's a module for it and this can access it. Not only can it read codes but it can also access unused settings, reset, reprogram, initialise and calibrate parts. This won't make me a better mechanic, I'll still lose bolts and break things but I'll at least have a fighting chance of understanding what's wrong and I might even be able to fix a lot of issues without having to resort to my clumsy spanner work. It's also infinitely less hassle and more reliable than going on the forums at any rate! It's a nice looking bit of kit too, though with the small size of it I don't think there's any real requirement for the chunky plastic case it comes with, a fabric sleeve would've sufficed but I'm guessing that's to make you feel a bit more like a hi-tech, rugged mechanic. The tablet itself isn't exactly fast but as you're unlikely to be using this if you're a professional (though I'm sure you could) an extra few seconds waiting for it to do it's stuff isn't going to matter. Shame it doesn't also offer IMMO options, maybe that will come in a future update?

Vci dead out of the box
I bought this after going against the advice of other's, I wish I had listened to them, i registered it, downloaded all the updates. Attempted to connect to a vehicle to test it and the vci was dead no comms not nothing, (I also tested on 3 other vehicles to rule out an obd fault) I got intouch with autel support (they run the software) who were useless and at one point said he would contact after he'd finished work on Monday??? Is this company a one man band operating from his bedroom??? In the end sent it back via amazon returns, which were fantastic and no messing about. To sum up if you want to spend £££s on a product with poor customer support for them in the end to be called incompetent go ahead and spend your £££s if not buy a different one from a different manufacturer.

Great bit of kit
Lovely bit of kit and at this price point the quality is impressive. The main tablet feels solid and robust and wireless connection is great if you're trying to check things on the move etc. Used it a couple of times now and it's done everything I needed it to do and the menus are simple and clear. The only thing I don't really know, as it's the LTE version, if there are things it won't do, but so far it's done what I've needed very well. Options seem limitless. I've generally used vcds on VAG products in the past but now I've got options with all cars. An absolute bargain

Klare Empfehlung!

Highly recommended scanner for diagnosis and testing vehicles
Easy to use, does anything and everything you could possibly need. It can be used in your own garage or a professional shop but half the price of competing scanners that do the same thing. Battery life is excellent. Quality built and durable. You are able to print off diagnostic reports on your home printer. Very detailed and quick results. You can run tests on your ECM. This product is absolutely worth the money! Saves hours of time rather than just trouble shooting on google or Youtube, which you can also do from the scanner if needed. Overall great scanner, highly recommend to any and all car enthusiasts!!!

Great unit that gets the job done
This item is fantastic if you are comfortable working on your own car. I needed this for resetting the oil change sensor for my porsche macan. With the cost of a single oil change at a porsche dealer, this unit paid for itself in less than a year with my driving routing. My local oil change place doesn't have the ability to do these resets. After 2 years, this unit will require an annual subscription payments, so that's something to consider if your going to get one. I am amazed (but not surprised) with all the different functions and features that newer cars are able to track. I am easily able to reset the oil notification, and this does a great job if you need to check for anything to do with the engine MIL components if you live in an area that requires emissions. This unit's battery life is pretty good, but has that slow drain that all the little tablets have. The screen is smaller but I prefer that over a massive tablet, and its still really easy to read the screen and track the graphics. I do like this Blue Tooth over the old wired models of these that I had, where you needed a laptop with a serial port (or a usb to serial adaptor). Overall, if you are handy and don't mind a little research, I think this is a great unit. One point of note... the updates are large and can take a minute, so if you don't use this often, be ready to dedicate an hour to updates for all of the various models and features. For single car updates, I think it lands at about 5 to 10 minutes.
