These are GREAT! Size is perfect! Big enough for my I tip & to hold a nice piece of my own thin hair. It holds enough hair u don't worry about it breaking off. Metal stayed color after 2-3 pinches. However after I opened & closed bead. 3 or 4 times paint chipped off. But who uses a bead that many times? Helpful Tip: *1 - Use pliers with teeth or with uu<slots to open my beads. The "teeth" hold the bead steady when ur trying to crimp it open. The smooth mouthed pliers slip off bead while I'm trying to open them. The slipping would tear my hair out. It also pinched my fingers raw by the end. So open with pliers that have those lines "teeth" along the opening. *2 - Use smooth edged pliers when closing beads! Pliers w/no teeth. I found using the teeth pliers for pinching bead closed mangles the bead. Problem with mangled beads are: when pinched closed they didn't get as flat as they fo when u use smooth pliers. A metal bead pinched flat & smooth hides in head better. It looks more realistic. Also they last longer & can be reused more than beads that have been opened & closed by teethed pliers. I found teethed pliers mangled the bead breaking them or making them sharp. They also took the paint off thd bead revealing a silver bead that looked obvious. So open with teeth pliers close with flat mouth. For me that means pink pliers open beads & red pliers close. Good luck
