This is a fantastic gate belt. It is very comfortable and it has a strong plastic buckle. I have about a 44 inch mid section and it fits great -with lots of room for a heavier person. It is very easy to take on and off. And will not slide around, it stays in the spot you put it. I had to go back to the hospital, I had fused my spine and I got a hematoma and they drained it…. I say that because before I left the hospital, OT and PT really liked how simple it was to put on… and it had an actual handle to help me walk down the hall with my walker.

If you think you might need a belt like this, get one, they're cheap. My 75 yr old wife fell down again in the bathroom tonight. Banged her head on the hard floor. Last time, her head hit the toilet stool, getting her up took almost an hour. Tonight, I had her up in less than ten minutes. I got the metal buckle model. This lifting belt was a terrific aid. No pulling her arms, no strain on my back. Well, maybe a little. Get one of these belts. You'll be glad you did.

Well built and multiple hand grips provide great support for caregiver!!! We also use it as a backup for wheelchair strap when away from home.

I want to give this a higher star rating, but I haven't been able to make it work. I get the strap tightened, so it feels almost too tight to snap together around the intended person, without pinching, but when I try to use the outer handles to lift, the belt is loose and slides up too much. I'm worried about tightening it much more because it's already a tight squeeze to snap it. It does seem to me made well and durable though. It arrived in a timely manner.

Terrific gait belt with plenty of handles. The front buckle makes getting the belt in and off so much easier that the standard gait belts. Really a game changer! Highly recommend this product.

The loops on the belt are not organized in a way that can be handled when trying to assist someone. I will be returning to get another belt. The quality and material is good and firm.

Having easy access to the handles makes it easy to assist My mom while she continues to rehab from surgery.
