Theatre: Brief Version, 10th Edition 10th Edition

It was very nice to have this book available on Kindle. The pictures and text were perfect.About the book itself: This book was very informative about the history of the theater. The author is obviously very passionate about the subject matter. This was the brief edition, so be careful if you are looking for the extended edition.

I liked the loose leaf format and the content of the book seemed to be the same as the 11th edition but, the way it was published made it hard to read.It had more of a story book type layout than a textbook layout.

I actually preferred having the loose leaf text in a binder. It was easier for the book to stay open on a desired page without trying to fight with a binding that wishes otherwise. Also, I could keep notes in the binder with the book.

It's the whole book and it's on great condition ! But why isn't the book binded together 😕Would've been nice if that was in the description

I ordered this book in preparation for teaching an introduction to theatre class. The book arrived today. The pages are unbound and perforated for insertion into a notebook. This would not necessarily be a problem if the pages were more substantial. They are not. The paper is thin and in this looseleaf format they will not hold up to normal wear. I have inserted all 300 plus pages into protective plastic sheets because I intend to actually use the book more than once. What a disappointment. The content appears to be exceptionally sound and useful. I wish the material had been presented in a more durable form. Certainly the price would indicate better quality. For all of these reasons I have a hard time recommending this text for student purchase.

I'm so relieved that I kept searching and searching for the best deals online for college books. This was an elective, so it wasn't a class I was crazy about, and I loathed the thought that I was going to have to pay 100$ for a book I didnt even care about. All of a sudden I found this on kindle and I'm so excited I could cry, that I'm not spending as much as i spent on my tuition, on my books.

Such Great way to rent books through here that we won't need forever! Rented it at a very reasonable price, downloaded on my kindle app and really enjoyed the book and the app as well!

The text itself was very good. However, having all the pages lose with no binding is a scam, in my opinion. It makes it impossible to re-sell the book and forces students to keep spending money. It is difficult to page through the text when it's in a binder, the pages are so thin that they rip very easily, or get caught on the rings of the binder. I wish instructors would chose books that are actual BOOKS and not just a collection of pages.
