Worth every penny!
This product is extremely well made and well thought out. Perfectly packed and easy assembly because the parts fit together like they grew there. Having fun with it. I recommend using it with enough power in the saw and a sharp chain, that probably goes without saying. Thanks for a great product!

Planking Boards
First time ever using an "Alaskan Chainsaw Mill." Setup wasn't terrible. Had to watch some videos online but was pretty easy. Of note: make sure you have a rail system for the first board, to remove the outer rough cut board. This kit did not come with those mounting brackets, but this same brand offers them. Ordered, and it worked great. One thing I found out quickly and was new to me (even though everyone I talked too who has used this style of mill, said "Yes, that is an issue" is that you lose a lot of the cutting width. I was running a 20" bar on a Stihl 311 and by the time you add the saw to the mill, the brackets and how it mounts takes up about 4 inches of your cutting length leaving you with a max cut of 16". I ended up having to purchase a 25 inch bar and new ripping chains. With the 25" bar, I was able to slab boards under 20" in width. Ideally, a 36 inch bar would be better but my Stihl 311 would be very unhappy with that much chain. Overall, really love this product. Well built, sturdy, and works. Only complaint would be with all of the track extension set screws. These will vibrate out of their hole quite easily and I am going to use some lightweight locktite to help the screws stay in place. Recommend this product.

Excellent Build and Great Results
I’m impressed with the Zozen Chainsaw Mill. It’s sturdy, well-built, and the flexible cutting guide system makes milling planks a breeze. I used it to cut 36-inch logs, and the results were smooth and accurate. It’s perfect for DIY projects and professional woodworkers alike. Highly recommend!

It works as advertised
Got This for a friend who acquired a 6 1/2 foot 12 inch diameter hardwood tree trunk.Assembly was OK. Material is machined to close tolerances and of good thickness.Used it with a 16 inch gas chainsaw and it took about 5 minutes to slice thru the 6 1/2 foot length.one knob loosened up a couple times, but we were able to tighten it up with no issue. either a lock washer or locktite would correct that.considering the quality of the material, I feel the price is good and very competitive with other brands.

Got it to work
Hardware is not great but with some added lock nuts and markings for distance it's great. I love this thing.

Well made
I thought a part was missing and they offered return, but the part had fallen out in my garage and I canceled return.

Did the job and more to come!
This mill is well built with just a couple of quirks that I can easily get over. So far, I’ve milled a few oak logs and a couple maple combined with a Husqvarna Rancher 460 with a 24” bar and Forester ripping chain. If you take your time, everything runs great and I’d guess it goes about 1’ / 1-1.5 minutes. Use your wedges in the back of the log once you are clear enough and then side wedges every few feet. Also, pay attention to your markings on the depth gauge. I installed mine in opposite directions, so I have to look around one side or the other to match them up. Overall, I like the kit and know I can run a bigger saw, if I get one! Definitely recommend this Alaskan mill.Pros:Stable / wide platform that keeps cuts level and tracking well.Lightweight frame, but solid backing for the saw.Easy to adjust cut height with your standard chainsaw wrench.Brackets for the first cut work well, if your log’s end cut is fairly square.Cons:Plastic handled bolts for holding handle and end brace vibrate out. I’d recommend some blue loctite on these and nuts that won’t be adjusted.Handle is awkward to use. I wish it was upright, like most other mill kits. I might add a clamp on handle for that purpose. One the second cut and beyond, you have to make sure you start level, or the back of the guide will bind when it gets on the log.
