this game made me love dc again
i love this game. after so many years of marvel over saturation this game (and teen titans on game cube) helped me reconnect with my child hood that was very batman centered and mostly dc as well since it was only my early teen years that i got into marvel. there's not a lot to say about it but the story is pretty good brainiac finds a martian rock that allows him to contact a greater evil for an alliance and the justice league has to stop it. your roster consists of martian manhunter, superman, batman wonderwoman, flash,, green lantern (john stewart) and zatanna. you can unlock huntress aquaman hal jordan kyle raynor and hawkgirl. one thing i was tempted to take a couple of stars off for is the fact that super girl and black canary are exclusive to another platform (ds i think but im not sure) i admit i dont like how the game forces 2 heroes on you instead of letting you pick yourself although you can freely switch between them. another reviewer mentioned hating zatanna but i love the character and found her healing powers useful, the team that had me stumbling on my first play through was flash and green lantern. every time they came up i groaned, but once i figured out the leveling system (that was the problem) they have gotten better though i still rarely choose them. and yes way later in the game they let you choose heroes this is the only time your allowed to use your unlocked heroes as well so it makes for a hard time leveling them up as you have to play through the game again to get to use them again. i recomend this game to dc fans and fans of beat em ups in the style of champions of norrath

Justice League Heroes
Fun game! This one reminds me a lot of Marvel Ultimate Alliance with a few differences. The gameplay is solid and straightforward. It is definitely not much of a thinkers game, it is the kind of game where you destroy everything that comes in your way.The cutscenes are good with good voice acting. This game is a great addition for the PlayStation (2 or 3) and for anyone who likes super hero action games.

Great game
Very clean and ready to play! For a game so old it's actually pretty fun! Although as to why the voice actor who voices Slade in Teen Titans voices Batman in here idk I wish they would have gotten Kevin Conroy

On loop.
Exactly what you'd expect from this era of gaming. Fun rpg with some good mechanics, but every level is about the same horse destroy finished with a boss fight.

Fun but could have used Kevin Conroy and a larger active team
The PS3/Xbox360 consoles still do not have a Justice League game out so I decided to pickup this PS2 classic instead. There are not a lot of games out there that let you play as the entire Justice League e.g. Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc. If you're lucky, you might get Batman AND Robin in one game or a Superman game that doesn't suck (the horror known as Superman N64 comes to mind) but rarely are there games with both Bats and Supes AND their Superfriends (perhaps DC wants to keep their licensed character games spread out to make more cash). Justice League Heroes let's you do that and play through a decent storyline that features a plethora of popular villains (Doomsday, Darkseid, Brainiac, etc) to boot.Known as the DC-version of the X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, Justice League Heroes is a top-down action role-playing game that follows the Justice League on a series of adventures. Although writer Dwayne McDuffie tells a decent tale, the game does not explain who each individual villain is so if you are not up-to-date on your DC villains you may be scrambling to Wikipedia to find out who The Key, Gorilla Grodd or Queen Bee are and why they are so bent on attacking innocent civilians and destroying things. Arguably, a better approach would have been for the story narrative to take a step back and introduce how the Justice League came about. This way, as you play through the game a new hero joins the team. In each chapter, the new team member could explain to the other heroes (and the audience) who the villain is and share a brief history of the dastardly evil doer. It would also be an interesting way for the gamer to watch the Justice League build and unite as they play through the game.Pros+ Play as all of the best* DC heroes (*note: Billy Batson/Captain Marvel is missing).+ "Champions of Norrath"/"X-Men: Legends" style of play.+ Custom build your characters with the super powers and abilities that you like to use.Cons-Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy, Hellboy, Alien: Resurrection) is a great actor but Batman, he is not. We really could have used veteran Batman voice actor, Kevin Conroy here instead and I cannot imagine that Kevin Conroy would have cost more than Ron Perlman. Also with Justice League Unlimited writer Dwayne McDuffie on-board why wouldn't they?-The "Boosts" system, which enhances your super powers, is not explained very well. You could waste a lot of 2 or 3 level boosts trying to combine them to push a level 6 boost to a level 7. I would have preferred the "find treasure" method that X-Men Legends and Champions of Norrath employs instead of combining speed, efficiency, etc. boosts.-You cannot always choose your Justice League "team" on certain missions. Meaning that if you want to play as Green Lantern and Green Arrow, certain missions are restricted to specific characters (such as Batman and Superman). "Team" is in quotations because you are limited to a team of two. This is the Justice LEAGUE. Why are they only going out on missions in pairs?-As alluded to above, there is no 4-player ability. The Justice League is reduced to a Justice pair in for every mission. Unlike X-Men Legends or Ultimate Avengers you select two team members and the other Justice Leaguers mysteriously take a break on the sidelines.
