Does this come with a stand or holder?

No stand. I didn't think that would be a problem, but it turned out that, for me at least, it was. I ended up buying a really nice WDT tool, with stand, from 3dArash on Etsy.

Are the needles really 0.3mm or is it the larger 0.4mm? I'm looking for something smaller than 0.4mm but no text in description confirms the title

0.3mm. Measured them with Mitutoyo digital calipers.

Functional but delicate/fragile parts.

Like this product, works a treat and does what it is suppose to do. The stand is very sturdy which is great. Only gripe I have is that the needles are delicate, so watch out if you drop it. Good thing is there are spare needles.
