CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward. The watch is reset regularly 4 times a day by the smartphone to show both home time and world time correctly. You can also reset the watch manually with just a push of a button when crossing between time zones. The precise time in the current location is displayed instantly with DST (daylight saving time) taken into account. Accurate time information (UTC) is acquired by a smartphone from a time server on the Internet. The smartphone then analyzes this time data and its own current positioning data regarding the time zone and DST (daylight saving time) status of the current location and resets the watch to the correct time automatically. Since Wi-Fi communication is also possible, the smartphone can also acquire time information in indoor environments such as airports or subways. The smartphone app can be used to conduct world time city selection. After a city is selected by touch from a world map or a city list containing over 300 cities, the time in the selected city is displayed on an inset dial with DST (daylight saving time) taken into account. Home Time is displayed on the main dial and World Time on the inset dial at 9 o'clock in a 12-hour format. The AM/PM status of the selected city are also displayed. Switching between the two city time displays can be conducted with button operation or using the app. Tough Solar converts light to electric power to support stable operation of multiple functions. Adoption of a shadow-dispersing solar panel with excellent power-generation efficiency enables solar-powered operation of various functions through smartphone linkage. Wearable around sinks, during swimming, poolside diving, snorkeling.

Great "no maintenance" watch with some useful tech.
I've had this watch for about a week now, and I love it. It always has perfect time thanks to the Bluetooth sync, and it will never need a battery thanks to the solar charging. It also looks fantastic to boot. The blue face looks a little more vibrant in the product photo that it actually is, but I quite like it.Some things to think about if you're looking at this watch: it's a large watch, and quite heavy. It's a metal band, so if you have a wrist that doesn't fit perfectly within a specific number of links, it's going to be a bit too tight, or a bit too loose. The Bluetooth tech is totally optional, so don't worry about the tech becoming obsolete, everything can still be set manually with the crown and buttons. It's also a good alternative to Casio's "waveceptor" watches, if the atomic clock signal is a bit weak where you live.Ultimately it's just a good looking watch with a tasteful (and useful) application of tech. It does cost as much as some "smart" watches, but if you don't like having a screen on your wrist, this is a great way to get some of the benefits with none of the drawbacks.2018-02-08Closing in on nearly a year with this watch, and I've had exactly zero issues with it. It's picking up some scuffs and scratches here and there as expected. I have managed to put one small nick in the glass, though it's nearly invisible. The glass is *not* Sapphire, so it doesn't quite have the durability of something like a Victorinox watch in this price range. That said I'll take the Casio and its perfect time + solar charging over a Sapphire glass face any day.

A wonderful value!
Fantastic watch for the money. I was able to connect easily to my iPhone. I am impressed with the cell phone locator feature, solar charging, and dual time zone capability. The watch is of a bold design with a wide face, but it looks relatively dressy. I also think the color of blue is darker than pictured, making it more attractive than I expected.

My New Favorite Watch
Great looking watch! I get complements all the time and most people think it's a high-end/very-expensive watch. I tell them it's a Casio and they are surprised. With that said, the price is very reasonable.I like the link between the watch and an app on the phone. It makes it very east to set the phone's options. I also like the fact that, through the app, the watch will reset for a new time zone automatically. The battery / solar charging system seems very good. I always have a full (or very nearly full) charge every time I check the level and I live in a cloudy part of the country and the watch spends a fair amount of time indoors.I hardly use the timer, so I don't feel qualified to rate/ comment on it. As to water resistance, I don't swim with it, but I have had it under the running sink water and it seems to handle that well.

great watch
I love this watch. Would give it 5 stars if the find-my-phone feature worked reliably under Android 9.0 but it doesn't. All of the other features work well and it is a beautiful timepiece. I am using a Nokia 6.1 android phone with this and I think the app is a little weak on the android platform. After a 7 months of use I have changed my rating to 5 stars: I figured out how to get more reliability and upgraded to a pixel 3a phone. Also, I am rough on watches and this still looks new. It is a head turner of a watch with the blue color.

Awesome
This is a great watch for a number of reasons. First, it is solar/light charged, so I don't need to worry about changing a battery. Second, it connects to my phone via bluetooth four times a day (or on demand) to ensure the time is correct. Third, I have two different timezones on the face of the watch. And finally, it looks fantastic!

Junk watch.
A real disappointment. Watch looks nice by didn’t last long. I used Bluetooth function a lot as I fly coast to coast multiple times a week.First the crown came out totally then the Bluetooth stopped syncing and finally moisture in the case. Then Casio service had the nerve to ask for $126 to repair.Don’t waste you money on this watch.
