Question 1

Is this isolate or concentrate?

Accepted Answer

Promix original grass-fed whey protein is a whey concentrate. Our goal was to provide an non-denatured whey protein that was still rich in the naturally occurring beneficial co-factors that come with grass-fed dairy. These include: glutathione, CLA's, omega-3's, lactoferrin & immunoglobulins.

Due to customer request we have also released a seasonally sourced, grass-fed whey isolate: https://www.amazon.com/ProMix-Nutrition-Whey-Isolate-Pounds/dp/B01F7JQGI8/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1517165035&sr=8-4&keywords=promix+whey+isolate

Our whey isolate is also non-denatured but has a higher percentage protein and even lower percentage lactose, carbohydrate and fat. For reference our original grass-fed whey was little more than 1 gram of lactose/serving. This is equivalent to the amount of lactose in a small serving of hard cheese. Our isolate has has approximately .5 grams of lactose per serving.

Lastly, we still had customer that were looking for a product with the highest percentage protein and lowest percentage of fat and carbohydrates. We recently release our Zero line of whey proteins.
https://www.amazon.com/Promix-Zero-Unflavored-Cholesterol-Undenatured/dp/B073X2SQ6M/ref=sr_1_10_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1517165035&sr=8-10&keywords=promix%2Bwhey%2Bisolate&th=1
Zero is non-denatured whey with the highest level of protein and considered lactose-free so those with lactose sensitivity can still enjoy the benefits of whey protein.

All of our whey proteins, as well as all Promix products, undergo third party testing for nutritional data, amino-acids and heavy metals. All products are produced in GMP certified facilities. We post all of our test results with our products but Amazon often updates listings and images do not appear. If you ever need any additional information or questions about our products please email us and our staff registered dietitian will reply within 24 hours. All Promix products are free of hormones, soy, gluten and GMO's.

NEW 2018: To provide greater traceability and information for consumers every one of our product labels will begin to be released with a scannable QR code that will provide third-party testing data and additional information about the product and ingredients. All products will have updated labels by the end or 2018.

Thank you.

Question 2

Why is this product so much cheaper than other grass fed whey protein options I've come across?

Accepted Answer

You are not paying for the container; it's packaged in a plastic bag. You are not paying for chemical additives, flavorings, sweeteners, etc. You are not paying for heavy-handed marketing hype. If the product is as claimed, it's just pure, grass-fed whey. I won't use anything else. Taste is unexciting but entirely palatable. I drink 20 grams in 6-8 oz water after workouts.

Question 3

What farms specifically do you source your whey from ?

Accepted Answer

Hello. We get our whey from family farms in California.

Question 4

Same question as well. Do you make a flavored version, and with no sweetener?

Accepted Answer

They do not make a flavored version, but if they did, I probably wouldn't order flavored anyway. I like this product because it doesn't have anything added. I like to flavor it myself. My favorite is chocolate. I add a tablespoon of organic cacao powder: http://www.amazon.com/Healthworks-Certified-Organic-Cacao-Powder/dp/B00EKLPLU4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400346035&sr=8-1&keywords=cacao+powder If you want strawberry, blend a handful of strawberries. To sweeten, try a teaspoon of organic raw honey (my favorite), organic agave, or stevia, or any combination of these.
