Love these hat kits. The stuffed soccer topper is very cute. These hats can be made in a few hours. I make the adult small. Great for a quick gift for a toddler. The toppers always seem to be a little wobbly when place on the top even when you use the rubber circle piece. My only complaint is the glue they use to hold the rubber topper piece in place. The glue is so strong that it is nearly impossible to get the rubber holder off the packaging without damaging it. The glue the used previously didn't stick so much but then again, kits were missing the rubber piece because the glue wasn't strong enough.

This is a quick knit for a cute child's hat. The yarn, soft animal topper, and instructions were perfect. If you are an average knitter you will have a cute hat in a couple hours. (I knitted it while watching one NFL football game on TV) . Some reviewers have stated that their yarn had snubs/flaws, but I did not find that to be true in my case. Incidentally, I recently came across a gift shop that was selling these hats (already knitted up) for $30. So yes, they are adorable! But it is more fun to make them up yourself.

Can finish in just 3 or 4 hours or less. Very cute. All kits are same quality and ease. I have 10 little kids in my extended family and I made a different one for each. There are 3 textures of yarn in each skein and it changes on it's own.

Makes a darling hat for the kiddo's did find some knots in the yarn. I wrote to DMC company for another foam piece that rippedwhen I tried to unpeel it from the paper and have gotten no response back.

I dove into this project as soon as the yarn arrived. It was easy, fun, and quick. I was impressed with the way they attached a ribbon to the hat topper to make the topper removable for washing, and and included a good-sized foam disk with two holes punched in it (like a large, soft button) to stabilize it and make it stand up when in place. There was on spot in the yarn with a knot (boo!) but otherwise it was smooth sailing from start to finish. I only wish these cost less, because I'd like to make a bunch of them for charity.

Hat was easy to knit. Nice yarn. Bright colors. Head ties on, and the support circle helps it stay upright. Birthday gift for my granddaughter. She loves to wear it. (Biggest problem was another day-care child trying to take it away from her, so I am making similar hats for the rest of her class.)

I love the concept and the colors but I don't like the yarn. At first I thought the yarn was pilling just from my working with it, but when I looked at the yarn still in the skein, I realized that it came that way. There are, in essence, two types of yarn in the skein. The first part is a woven yarn in pink/grey over some sort of whitish core. Then, at the end of the skein it becomes a fuzzy textured grey yarn. On closer inspection (photo attached) you can see that it's the core fiber of the woven yarn that is coming out looking like pills. You can't pull them off as they are the center of the yarn itself, plus there's way too many, multiple per inch.To knit this as per the instructions, you need to know how to do circular knitting, knit, purl, decrease, K2tog and work to gauge. You'll need circular needles size 9, row markers, double pointed needles, and a yarn needle to sew the top on.I could find no written washing instructions for the yarn or the topper. The paper label on the skein and the tag on the topper have six laundry symbols on them, but I haven't a clue what any of those symbols mean. Some of those symbols have big X's over them so I know I'm not suppose to do something but not sure what. I'm sure I can google them and try to figure out what all six mean, but why should I have to? Print the washing directions on the label, with words, like other yarn manufacturers do...there is plenty of space there.
