Q: What is the maximum upstream pressure this pump can operate at?

It isn't a pump, it's a one way valve.A spring loaded ball is inserted inside the valve preventing the liquid from creeping back when the pump is not in operation.

Q: Will it work for carburetors? My carb is only 4-6 psi and I don't want it to struggle to get fuel

I put it on a Edelbrock 4bbl carb and it worked fine for me. It had a standard fuel pump on it also.

Q: how is pressure set to not damage the system,can this valve open at 75psi

All it does it works like a 1 way valve to keep fuel from leaking back to tank when not running

Q: 10mm will it fit 2001 transam fuel line

You will have to measure the fuel line to determine that, but this product does not work as a check valve. The internal design is faulty and it will not prevent fuel from draining back. I installed one on my boat and it does not work.
