Seeing the Elephant: Voices from the Oregon Trail Hardcover – Import, 15 July 2003

Very interesting to read the first hand experiences of people who traveled West on the Oregon Trail. It is amazing to read the actual journals and diaries of Narcissa Whitman, Thomas Farnham, Jesse Applegate, Catherine Sager, and others who were the Pioneers that shaped Oregon in the 1800's. Their struggles on the Trail to Oregon and the determination they displayed through heart wrenching life experiences is amazing!If you are interested in Oregon History I highly recommend this book.--Leona J.
