I was worried about this cage due to the reviews. I ordered it because I have two other double cages and needed one more to put my pair of cockatiels in. I have a Yaheetech and an off brand and while both are fine, they needed extra work to make them stop swaying. Not the best quality cages. I was especially drawn to this cage because it comes with platforms and ramps. I also love that it comes in two boxes. So much easier for someone older such as me to lift. Since I had already built two double cages and they are all assembled in the same way, it was easy for me to get the cage built. However, if this was a newbie assembling this cage, it would be pretty confusing. The instructions are standard but very hard to follow. The print is way too small. I have yet to have a cage company send me the hardware that wasn't separated and numbered. Very time consuming to have to sort through them. As for the finished product, it is far superior to the other two brands I have. No swaying at all. It is very sturdy, and for me, the very best part are the platforms and ramps, as my birds are all seniors with liver disease and need the stability. I would order this cage again.

I bought this cage when my two parakeets started fighting after being housed together for years. I wanted them to stay near each other but could no longer trust them to be together without supervision. This cage looked perfect so I gave it a go, and my birds LOVE it! They were so happy to be next to each other again (as I had to separate them into smaller cages while we waited for it) and they loved the size! It has since been nicknamed their "condo" and I think they would rate it 5 stars too :) After ordering, I had a heck of a time getting this cage delivered, although it was through no error of Amazon or Rowland (the 3rd party seller), but in fact FedEx that was giving me a horrible time. After FedEx "attempted" delivery three times (even though they didn't show up at my house once), they told me I would have to drive an hour away to get the cage because they wouldn't deliver it. I'm only mentioning this because both Amazon and Rowland responded immediately when I reached out to them and Rowland was able to get FedEx to deliver the cage to me the next day. On top of that, two wooden perches were snapped in transit and Rowland sent replacements immediately. Customer service earned more than five stars in my opinion. As for the cage itself, it really wasn't too difficult to put together. There were no written instructions, but there was a paper that mapped out the pieces for you and the bolts were all labeled. I wouldn't say it was easy, but not enough of a challenge to get frustrated with it. The legs lean a little to the side if you try to move the cage, but it seems sturdy and like I said before, the birds love it! I would definitely recommend this cage to anyone who wants a "condo" for their bird.

I was hesitant to buy this cage because of the reviews, and the instructions really were as bad as people say. There is no labeling and it was very confusing. It took my brother who has experience about 4 hours to put it together. However, the cage is huge and my budgies love it. It has a divider door for introductions, along with ramps, side doors, and feeding cups. Just keep in mind there is about a 1 inch gap when the divider is out. Your birds may also need a little time to get used to the size. Overall, I think it is worth it, just be prepared for a frustrating setup

I absolutely love this cage! The quality is great, and it’s very sturdy. However, the instructions are just photos, which made it difficult for me to put together as I require written instructions. The shipping was also a bit confusing as it was shipped in two boxes on two different days. The first box stated that this would happen on the side of the box, however, the order was marked as delivered before the second package arrived. So, I was unable to track it or know when it would arrive. I would have appreciated if they both arrived on the same day, as it would cause less worry. Nonetheless, I am happy with my purchase and my girls love their new cage! It’s perfect for my parakeet and cockatiel.

Great cage and even more impressed by Rowland Direct Wholesale!!!!! I was really nervous about ordering with some of the reviews talking about how the cage came beaten up, bars were bent, hard to put together with no instructions, it was cheap etc. Apparently no one actually contacted the company with their damage or issues with the cage. Our cage came with a damaged side panel and front panel that had bars that were too long for the cage, so it would not bend back properly. I contacted the company and within minutes they contacted me back. They were SO EASY and wonderful! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I sent them pictures of the damaged panels and bowl, and then sent me out two new panels, and a new bowl, plus and extra!!!! So impressed! Always contact company before you write a bad review on a product! Our cage came with instructions, they weren't extremely detailed, but got the job done. We have put together multiple cages, and they are always a pain in the butt! It wasn’t impossible, got it done in about 2-3 hours which is standard for a cage this size. The cage itself is what I would expect for the price. It’s a HUGE cage, which my Jenday and Green Cheek love! I love the shape of the cage. I had a square one before it and there was a lot of wasted space vertically. This cage is thinner but longer. More room for toys, perches etc. I love the landings and ladders. My two hang out more on the landings then they do their perches. The bars themselves are not as strong as my old cage, so using heavy more natural perches, you can’t just put them in the middle of a panel or else the perch won’t be sturdy enough. You have to anchor them against a door or side bar. I am talking the heavy all natural Mac’s perches from Petco. For the price and size of the cages that you are getting, I wouldn’t expect it to be sturdier. You can’t beat the price or value of this cage you are getting! Do your research and you will see how expensive cages of this size can be. The stand is great! Had issues with ferrets climbing in the bottom of my old cage and eating old food. This is way up off the ground and I can now store nice baskets under there. I can roll this cage WAY easier than I expected with how large it is. The door latch is super sturdy. All around if you are on the fence about this cage, don’t be, it is great for the price! My babies love it!

This cage arrived days later than expected, but that was not the sellers fault. FedEx delivered it to the wrong address and luckily, the person was honest and returned it to me. That aside, once I finally did recieve the packages (it ships in two boxes), I found that the assembly directions are very unclear. It only consists of about 6 pictures and none of the parts are labeled. So I had to really spend time staring at the pictures to decifer which pieces went where. It took me approximately 1 hour to assemble this with a bit of help from my husband. Overall, the quality of the cage is average. There are a couple of the bars that are weak and bend very easily. I will need to purchase strong, bird-safe wire to hold them in place. The center divider piece arrived bent and is difficult to insert into position. That does not bother me much because I hadn't planned on using it, since I want my birds to have the entire cage length for flight space. What does bother me, however, is that without the center divider, the space between the two halves of the cage are very wide apart (over 1 inch for most of it). Smaller bids, like my parakeets, could easily squeeze out through that space. I have to go buy some wire ties or something similar before I can safely place my birds into this cage.

My two active conures are much happier in this cage due to width. There is room for them to separate if they get grumpy, and lots of space for toys to keep them busy. Width is the key to happy birds rather than height, as they like to stay at the top. It does take several hours to put together. I zip tied everything in place, then figured out the screws, which is the only confusing part. The cage itself uses the same size. It’s just the stand that uses a bunch of different sizes. The gap is an issue if you are not using the cage divider. Too wide a space. Strong zip ties squeezing the gap together tightly solved the issue. I recommend the white color over the black. Looks much better in my living room.

Instructions are horrible but it wasn’t too hard to assemble. Once it is assembled it is a nice cage.
