Awesome tape measure! Nice looking, feels solid, the auto-lock mechanism is amazing. This is the first tape measure I had with auto-locking and I dont know how I ever lived before without it! haha I got it for my 3D printing projects and this size, length, weight, look, and of course being metric (!) is perfect. The price is great too. Very happy with this tape measure.

I recently got into 3D printing, where there's a regular need to measure in mm. But my brain still works in inches and fractions when I'm hanging a picture frame etc. So I found myself looking for a quality measuring tape with both metric and imperial that was a) small enough to store in my tools & accessories drawer, but b) not so small that I can't easily read the tape. And this checks all my boxes -- it feels solid and sturdy (not cheap/sloppy), and I've measured dozens of items without having trouble reading the tape. Looks sleek too. Plus I really like the feature that it doesn't auto-retract -- pull the tape out and it stays there (no need to push anything to prevent retraction), and then it retracts nice and snappy when you press the button.

The tape measure is very compact and made of good quality! The self-lock mechanism makes it easy to measure objects; I don't have to take the extra step to press the lock/unlock button.

I recently lost an old, small tape measure that I carried in my purse. This is a nice replacement, though it is slightly larger and heavier than the one I lost. My only real complaint is that it's black rather than silver or a bright color. It's hard to find in my purse. But the tape works beautifully and is very easy to read because of the high-contrast black on white and the size of the numbers and marks. It has a good locking mechanism. If they come out with a bright yellow one, I'll buy another!

I love the minimalist design of this tape measure! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's actually a dark blue color or navy blue, not black (which is what I was expecting from looking at the pictures). It's also really easy to operate by making use of just the one and only button that it has, which instead of the much more common and boring push to lock type of system, it acts as a brake release to reel it back in after extending it. I find that the actual tape measure itself is actually quite easy to read with black measurement markings on a solid white strip (in inches & centimeters). I would've liked it to have had a clip of some kind (for carrying it on a belt), or even just a couple of pre-threaded holes on the side for attaching some sort of clip like the ones that are on my EDC knives, but it does have two small holes along the edge where you can put a lanyard through it – although I found it quite a bit difficult to actually get even the thinnest of looped string through them when I tried it. But it's definitely a great little tape measure and IMHO it's totally worth it! 👍🏻

I tried a friends auto lock measure and was amazed at how useful it was. The HOTO performs perfectly and Its smaller size means I’ll carry it all day. The only disappointment is that the scale is blocky. The scale marks are about twice as thick as they need to be so I’ll not be using this for really accurate work. Dual Metric/Imperial scales are really useful but since metric is my primary measure it would have been nicer to have it at the top of the measure but that’s just me. Edit - just to report that I pressed the button to return the tape and it snapped back so hard that it snapped the end off. It’s now rolled up inside the case and useless. It was perfect for what I needed but I’m disappointed in its longevity.
