Dukal 214 Xeroform Petrolatum Gauze, Sterile, 2" W x 2" L 25 Count (Pack of 1)

My wife has a non-healing wound in the folds near her belly-button. Her specialist wound doctor advised, and I apply daily, a Petrolatum Gauze with a 2"x2" sterile gauze pad on top of it .... taped down with skin-friendly medical paper tape. We've basically been doing this since late-2022, with no infections. This brand of gauze is working fine.

Heals very well on cuts and other skin irritation 😎

I tore the skin on my arm and needed these to help heal the tear. They work wonderfully for this purpose. It puts moisturization over the wound and helps heal it quicker. I like to keep these available because mature skin tears if you look at it wrong. I used these on my 99 year old Mom when she tore her skin, too. Great quality and helps tremendously. All patches are individually wrapped to protect them. Worth every dime!

We were introduced to this when my daughter had a cut to her finger that didn’t have enough skin left to stitch and we were reminded of it when my son had a similar injury. For the most part, xeroform is AMAZING. It prevents you from having to peel off a scab when changing a dressing and that is paramount in allowing healing to occur on those ugly cuts. We have had a small degree of sticking with this most recent supply, but nothing that would prevent us from continuing to use it. I just hope that at some point, we may stop needing to use it for new injuries - probably wishful thinking!

This sterile gauze does not stick to a wound or skin, and is very necessary in keeping a skin graft soft until it is incorporated. Hospitals use this dressing, and when discharged, most patients would use this dressing themselves as long as a physician examines the wound every two weeks or so. Note: this gauze needs to be over wrapped with other gauze and lightly taped in place.

Very nasty abrasion on my index finger. I cannot believe how much these things have helped the healing. Preventing the dressings from sticking to the wound helps so much. I wish I had known about these years ago
