Weatherproof Backpack | Pelican Mobile Protect Backpack - MPB35 (35 Liter)

This is one of the best built backpacks I have ever had! The first thing you will notice is the very high quality materials that Pelican used. I own my own business and often need to travel on short trips with my laptop and a few days worth of clothes. This is the perfect backpack for that. It does an excellent job of protecting not only the laptop but anything else that I put in it. The water resistant zippers make a lot of sense (as I have had things get wet in the past due to water finding its way in through traditional zippers). The way that the main compartment opens and folds open makes access very easy. The large lined top pocked is great for smaller items that need to be accessed easily, along with the vertical zipper on the outside of the bag. The access to the dedicated padded laptop sleeve is very good and offers a lot more padding and protection then most padded laptop sleeves (this is the best protection I have seen short of a hard case). The organizational pockets are good and sized nicely. However, it would be nice if they offered dedicated pen and business card storage (but that is very minor).The one item that I could see being improved would be the depth of the water bottle pockets on either side, they are only 4" deep, which means that a standard water bottle will easily fall out if you do not use the bungie cord around the top of the bottle (this can be a hassle if you are trying to access water bottle, or put it back, with one hand). If they had made the pocket even 2 inches deeper I think it would be a big improvement.I look forward to using this bag a lot for years to come, and will see how it holds up over time.I should mention, not knowing what size backpack I was going to work best, I initially ordered the Pelican MP25 at the same time to compare. If you are just looking for the streamlined backpack for your laptop the MP25 is fine, but does not offer much additional room for clothes or additional items. I also think that the way you access MP35 main compartment is significantly better than the MP25 as it is a much larger opening that folds out of the way, as opposed to the MP25 which is much smaller. The outside pocket with the vertical zipper is also much smaller on the MP25. Both bags are very built, but if you have the need to bring a change of clothes or even back a jacket along with your office materials, go with the MP35. You will be very glad you did!

I use Pelican cases for work, large and small, they set the standard. When I saw this pack during my search for a new one I thought I struck gold. It is a quality pack, really well built, it is not for me. 2 things prevent this from being what I need. First, as other reviews have stated, these zippers are tough to open, if you think you can get a book or something out of this thing while it's under a plane seat, it's not gonna happen, the zippers don't work smooth on the curves. And second is the lack of little tool, pen, pencil, etc storage pockets. To have these types of things in this pack requires that they be placed in a large, open pouch. So, in conclusion, I can't say anything bad about this pack, it's just not what I need, the nature of our online shopping practices require us to take the plunge on products, thank you Amazon for the excellent return policy, when I find the pack I need, I'll review that as well.

Great backpack. Ordered the smaller one as well but too small for me. Good size. Awesome construction. Fits my 17 inch laptop in the main compartment. A 15 could fit in the back one. Pouch on front of backpack makes for easy access to my laptop charger and other cables. Very comfortable to wear. Keeps it's shape very well. Waterproof zippers. Ballistic nylon keeps things safe, and has soft compartment on top for sunglasses. Would definitely buy again

Zippers are a little stiff and the middle bag a little cavernous particularly when jet lagged and needing to empty for airport security. However, carting several tech items for work on humid Mexican coast for several months I feel good avout daily zipping it all into the pelican and storing in a locked cupboard. Also well designed and well padded pockets for separating and carrying notebook and yoga laptop. I tried a smaller and larger size and went with the larger; better organization.

Its a pretty good backpack, it would be a 5 star awesome back pack if it had a waist strap.

現場でのPC使用が多いため、丈夫なバックパックを探していたところペリカン製にたどり着きました。ブラックなど値段の変動があまりないみたいですが、このタン色は変動が激しいようです。私は2万ちょいで買えました。PCもしっかりと守ってくれて容量も多くて、おすすめです。
