This was just what I wanted! Now if you’re a wimp, you may not like it. When 50 oz of liquid is in the mug you will have a significant amount of weight. 3.34 lbs plus the weight of the mug. But that is a small price to pay for the volume of ice cold beverage you can have for your drinking pleasure. Gone is the constant trip to fill your small glass. I drink at least a gallon of water per day. That’s two and a half of these mugs filled. The ice will last all day and that’s 24 hrs if you can believe that. My guess is that if you’re going to drink a gallon of water a day, the extra weight is not an issue. The only thing I can say is when you get the mug, wash it of course. But then take a little vegetable oil of your choice, and lube the rubber seal. A drop on your finger and then spreading it on seal is enough. Now the next thing you will find is your inability to put the lid on. It’s such a great seal that you must open the flip up access in order to allow the air to escape as the lid is inserted in the mug. So with that said, you must open the flip up access in order to remove the lid also. I love this thing. I’ve had those Bubba Kegs before and this stainless beauty outshines them! (Pardon the pun”. If your going to were to want to use it without the lid, the rim is well designed and does not feel like a sharp edge against your lips. It well radiused and comfortable with lid off and especially good with lid on. The drinking area fits your mouth very well and does not cause any undesireable liquid to escape or drip on your clothing. Once you drink from this you will love it!

Very nice and keeps ice a very long time. The lid stays on strong. I have already dropped it a few times and it has fallen over many times and the lid never came off yet. My fault every time. The wide mug is very stable. The flap stays open while drinking, unlike others I’ve had. The hole to drink from is a decent size as well. The lid won’t pull off unless you open the flap because it keeps a a great suction. .....it has been several months later now and still loving the mug. I plan on getting a second one for a backup for when I leave it at work or something. I have seen replacement lids for this cup. the flip top part is clear. also I realized that if you by chance put the rubber seal on backwards the lid will be much harder to pull off. It's not like it needs to hold any better but thought Id throw this in there. well I have now dropped it from roof scaffolding onto a deck 3 times and the cup is fine. however the lid has gotten a few broken spots, but still works. my only loss was my drink so far; it did fall 8 ft. Now looking for a replacement lid is tough. when I bought the cup I made sure I could get replacement lids. But now when I could use one no luck so far. guess I will limp it along until I find one; at least it still works.

Helps me remember to keep on drinking to stay hydrated. Lid hard to get on and off. Rubber seal comes loose. All in all I still like and use it every day. Do get a few laughs when I drink out of the monster! :)

For the price, I expected my ice to last a full 24hr. Ice lasts about 8hr before being mostly gone...So that's not great. The cup itself is a good size, it's solid, and hasn't done any leaking even after being knocked on the side in the car. Honestly, the best thing about it is the press-fit lid....well...and holding a lot of drink.I probably won't buy another one, though, just because the ice melts too fast. If I have to refill a few times during the day, all the ice is gone before I even get off work. Lame.

Nice and big. Keeps cold for days. Nice flip top to drink from. Little worried about the rubber ring that seals lid. Comes off too easily and if damaged won't seal anymore

If your looking for a large container this is the one. Keeps drinks cold for hours on end, leaving ice in it last over night. The stainless steel look gives it a great vibe .Like it alot. Not made for people with small hands the handle is very large.

I bought this for a gift and when I opened it I was very pleased with the quality of the cup and the colors and feel of the outside. Sturdy handle - etc. However, I had to return it because the clear plastic lid was broken. Thankfully, I noticed that before I wrapped it up. Probably just a limited time thing but it still frustrated me because I didn't have time to get a replacement in time and had to go out and purchase something else.
