Great spatula!

Bought it for tamagoyaki, kept it for everything else
I originally purchased this to go along with a tamagoyaki pan. While I enjoy cooking and am reasonably competent in the kitchen, I'm not nearly skilled enough to pull off Japanese rolled omelets using chopsticks alone. This spatula made the process much easier and was exactly the right tool for the job. What surprised me was how often I started reaching for it outside of tamagoyaki. The narrow blade shape is useful for all kinds of cooking tasks where a standard spatula feels too large or clumsy. It's great for getting into tight spaces, flipping smaller foods, and handling more delicate items that benefit from a little extra precision. Over time I've found myself using it for: * tamagoyaki and omelets * egg sandwiches * smaller sauté jobs * delicate flipping tasks * working in compact pans The blade is thin enough to get under food easily while still feeling sturdy in use. It gives a level of control that larger spatulas sometimes lack. Is it my most-used kitchen utensil? No. But that's also not its purpose. This is a specialty tool that fills a niche extremely well, and it turns out that niche comes up more often than I expected. That's probably the highest compliment I can give it. I bought it for a single recipe, but years later it still has a permanent place in my utensil crock because it's often the best tool for the job. If you own a tamagoyaki pan, I'd consider this almost a mandatory companion. Even if you don't, you may be surprised by how useful a slim, precise spatula can be around the kitchen.

It really is my favorite spatula
This spatula size and shape are perfect for flipping smaller items like single eggs, small pancakes, etc. My only complaint is that it's just made of regular plastic, so it can't withstand high heat. It will melt at the edge if it's used for too long on a surface that's too hot. If you have family members who won't remember to only use it on lower-temp surfaces, this may not be the spatula for you.

My favorite non-stick spatula hands down.
When someone steals the one at work, I get another one. I have given these as gifts to everyone I know. They are just the right size for cookies, pizza, small pans, small hands, Bagel Bites. They last for many, many years, wash great in the dishwasher, feel great in the hand, the perfect handle length and weight. I have nothing bad to say about this little helper.

Exactly what I needed!
I despise flexible spatulas. They're always too thick to easily slide under the food and dont provide enough stability. This little spatula is great! Its shorter than most so if you're looking for long handled, this isnt for you but I really like the shorter length. Its long enough to keep my hands out of the heat but short enough to be easily manageable. The plastic is sturdy and thin with a beveled edge that easily slides under delicate things. It IS narrow though so its best use is more of a sauté tool than a flipping tool but I like it so much that I also bought the wider slotted Norpro and the even wider, solid omelette turner. I read a couple of reviews that reported heat issues but so far, I havent had any problems even though I do have a habit of leaning the spatula on the lip of the pan. I've used a lot of different spatulas through the years but these Norpro spatulas are my favorites. These probably wouldnt stand up to critique of a professional chef but for a veteran home cook like me, theyre just fine. Theyre inexpensive and they work great. Try this one.

Fast delivery and I really like the spatula.
This is a handy tool and is one that we already have. It's the only one that we use anymore. Far better than the wider ones. I plan on ordering another just to have on hand. I recommend this product. Super fast delivery.

Small, but No Heat Resistance
I was looking for a nylon spatula that was less than 3 inches wide. I found this one. I did notice quite a few reviews complaining about poor heat resistance. I disregarded those reviews, figuring people were exposing the spatula to high heat, but those people were right. I was surprised when a tiny piece of this spatula melted off after the first use. I cooked a grilled cheese sandwich. I then cut the sandwich in half while it was still in the pan. The burner was off. This resulted in a piece of the spatula breaking off and lodging in my sandwich. So while I really like how narrow this spatula is--it's good for small pans--it really cannot withstand any heat. It's hard to find a narrow spatula, so I'll just be more mindful when using this. It did a great job getting brownies out of a square pan...once the pan was completely cool.
