Nice planter and a watering suggestion
I purchased this upgraded hanging planter plus one of the original planters just to see the difference. Plus, I found a good deal on the older model.Personally, I wouldn’t consider using one of these planters indoors, especially the older model. They are messy! The Meiwo planter is larger, has much better pockets that hold more soil and has a satin like fabric layer on the back of the felt that helps reduce water movement towards the outside rear. If hung on a wooden fence it would be less likely to cause water damage. The older model is just one layer of felt.I do have a suggestion for making these easier to water. Add drip irrigation! You can see adjustable droppers in the photos, but I have ordered some 1/2 gallon per hour drippers to replace them. I just could not get the water flow equal and slow enough with the adjustable drippers.All I did was cut a slit in the back of the fabric and pulled the drippers thru. Watch out for your fingers! I sliced one with the scissors. I wish I had thought of this BEFORE I planted the strawberries.It would be really nice if the manufacturer would sew in a buttonhole that could be opened or not depending on their watering plan.

Best little wall garden
I love these wall planters. We have a very tiny patio area and these planters add so much color and do not take up any usable space. My herbs and succulents are happy and so are the sweet pansies. My husband made a wonderful disguised drip system for them. I totally reccomend them. I've had them only for a few months but they seem durable. Beautiful to look at.

Not completely leak proof
I purchased this for use inside my home.PROS: water drips from top pocket through to the pockets below.Back and bottom pocket are lined with plastic.Holes for hanging have a metal grommet to help support the weight.CONS: because water flows through, the top pockets dry out faster than the bottom. Should plan accordingly when planting.Not completely leakproof. I’ve taken habit of putting a towel underneath to prevent damage to my floors. So far wall behind looks okShape of pockets make plants still stand “normal”. Unfortunately because of the space between pockets, my plants aren’t figuring out how to grow out. I planted each at a slight angle to try to encourage this growth, but I’ve lost a lot of the plant.Overall is it a decent design. I would purchase again for outdoor use.

Quality Control
I like the idea of this product, and believe that it is of higher quality and larger size than its competitors, but it falls short. The pockets are still too small, and the top loops are not the same size from one product to another. I had to return one of three products due to varying loop sizes, and the replacement product had the same defect although less pronounced. When the three pockets are hung side by side the lengths are different and it looks asymmetrical. I think that in the future I will make my own vertical pockets.

Size Does Matter!
These are great. You can see in my photo the difference in size of the new vs the old design that I ordered last year. I’m going to order two more to cover more of the fence.Updated photo:I added two more to our fence and can’t wait for the flowers to grow, bloom and fill out. I’m going after a “Monet” painting look of splashes of color completely covering our boring fence. Will post another photo in a couple of months. Hopefully I’ll be successful in creating a “living painting “.It would make it easier to water if there was 1-2 inches more space vertically between the pockets.

A++ For Balcony Garden
After looking at planter options to work with my available gardening space (balcony in a city) I read a few reviews for this vertical planter. Thankfully I purchased when they had updated the product to a new spec. Wanted to wait until I used it for a few months before reviewing. The design, material, quality, size and price were all great. They even came with extra zip ties. I strongly feel that other reviews I read on the new spec* that were saying water poured over the front didn’t plant/ add soil or water properly. I did not have any issues and had basil, chives, green onions and cilantro that I watered 2x a day. Aside from the desire to maximize the space used for planting, it also allowed for some shade for other plants to thrive. Recommend for herbs or any plants that only need a few inches of soil.

Flimsy
Great idea, fabric pockets are too shallow and don't hold shape.

Not worth it
Reallyyyyy hard to retain water - no matter how much we watered, everything we planted in here ended up dying or just not growing. Idk maybe it’s a user error but I think there must be better ways.
