Very nice quality. Easy to hook up to my bird feeder. Looks good. Keeps rain out that falls straight down. It even helped keep squirrels out.

I bought 2 different guards before I bought this one. The previous 2 were dome shaped, and their hooks hang the feeder too low for it to really benefit much from the cover (they ended up in the garbage). This feeder was kinda spendy, but I ended up buying 3 of them, one for each feeder. It is sturdier, flatter, has a very short hook on the bottom so the feeder hangs up tight close to it. It's easy to take the feeders on and off the hook. The dome kinds were more susceptible to the wind than the JC Wildlife flatter shape- plus the others were plastic (though everything is susceptible to wind to a certain degree). I have the 22.5" rain guards- which I wanted for sun and rain. Easy assembly, nice paint finish for the outdoors. The 22.5" guards at my house are hanging from freestanding sturdy shepherd hook style 6ft. tall hangers. On my setup, one side of the guard touches the shepherd hook pole, creating more stability in the event of wind and I can actually tilt it a bit against the sun and it stays that way unless it gets super windy and moves it. I'm thinking of setting up another seed feeder and I will totally buy another JC Wildlife rain guard if I do.

I purchased this rain guard in 16" for my 10" x 10" platform feeder. It is of good heavy duty quality and covers the entire feeder keeping the feed dry! I would highly recommend this product!

I purchased a rain guard from this company over a decade ago and I liked it so much I picked up a second one from Amazon recently. The plate section of the rain guards are identical. They are strong, heavy, sturdy, and very wide to keep rain away from the feeder underneath. My original one never rusted or had any other damage, so I expect that the new one will perform just as well.The reason I'm not giving this newer version five stars is because the hook for hanging the rain guard has been changed from the original. On the earlier version, the hooks both above and below the rain guard had long solid stems, which balanced the heavy and wide plate much better. On the new version, the hooks have no stems and thus provide no balance, so the rain guard swings wildly in the slightest wind. Seeds are dropping everywhere, and the rain guard and feeder are swinging around violently to the point where the whole assembly just flies off. The original version never had this issue, even in strong winds.As a temporary solution, I secured a piece of PVC pipe over the hook on top to reduce the wild swinging until I can find hooks with longer stems similar to what's on the original rain guard.I still recommend this rain guard because the quality is excellent, and I never found any other one that had such wide brim. However, if you run into any issues with the wind swinging it too wildly, consider changing the hooks or adding some other kind of counter balance. They make a huge difference.

My hummingbird feeder in my back yard is out in the open, so to keep water from getting into the sugar, I got this. It works great, and gives the birds shade and protection from rain when they come to drink. Well worth the money!

This feeder rain guard works well to keep water off the food in the feeder below it. You do need to get the size that's a bit larger than your feeder, though. It is very durable and stays looking new long after it's been used. Some of the smaller birds like to land on it when they fly in!

Good quality and gives nice protection to the feeder it covers.

I ordered 2 of these when I purchased them and one didn't have the gold connector piece. That's why I gave it 2 stars. I messaged the seller but never heard anything back from them. The other one works wonderful.
