Decksaver Protective Cover for Technics SL-1200/1210 and Pioneer PLX-1000

I have a very early MK2, which would have required me to find very rare hinges to go with a real Technics brand cover. When I got this I didn't realize it was designed to be removed completely, but when I realized that, I was kind of happy. Many audiophiles will tell you the dust cover vibration adds distortion/noise, so I honestly don't mind removing the cover to listen to records, especially on a manual table. I may not yet be at that level, but I do take advice when looking for better sound quality. The dip everyone complains about is actually quite visually pleasing when on my table, and I find myself enjoying the appearance of my table more with the cover. The dip seems like it is designed so that you remove the cover during use anyway, as it isn't hinged. It makes sense to do that to prevent someone accidentally dropping the cover on the table while in use and damaging the tone arm or record. Either way, I was very happy with my purchase, and for the price it is a steal compared to the real deal. If you don't mind removing the cover completely, this is a great cover, and mine fit perfectly.

Ok, my first impressions were "Wow, they made it to my house in one piece". I was skeptical because I received them yesterday and the weather was beyond poor. Rain and high winds, so the delivery guy just tossed it over the gate onto the concrete. By the time I got to it the box was a limp noodle. I unboxed and felt at ease. These things are sturdy. Unfortunately I have to hate on the previous review. I didn't have any quality control problems, both fit on the decks, nice and snug. This product tends to get a lot of negativity because of the price. People tend to forget the cost of a brand new set of Tech 12's at 1-$1200 USD, I'll gladly spend $120 to protect my gear. It's a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money I have put into equipment. I only wish this product existed 10 yrs ago because I would have owned them then. I always hated the original covers because they don't sit right unless you hinge your decks (lame). I have 2 flight boxes but covering them is also a pain and dangerous(bent tonearm, thanks to TSA). Also, I don't understand why you would want to play vinyl and then put the covers on. That was the intended purpose for the original dust covers, not these. I have 3 cats, 1 dog and a lovely blond haired girlfriend but without the covers, in 1 day I would accumulate enough dust and hair that my needles would pick up the fuzz...even being cleaned 2 days prior! These puppies are reliable and sturdy and fall into place without much effort, now I have to figure a way to stow them within arms reach. I'm sure 3M makes a perfect hook that I could slap on my stand. Coming from a guy who loves his techs to death but after TSA bending tone arms and the ability to clone a cat from 2 inches of dust and fur. I kicked myself for not at least bringing the OEM dust covers with me when I moved. This sure as heck beats my initial idea of finding a big enough grill cover for protection. YOU MUST BUY THEM!

I disliked the cloth cover that Stanton offers for the ST-150 turntable, as fine dust does seem to infuse itself after a while and it looks lumpy/sloppy. I took the gamble and ordered this Decksaver cover. (Arrived on time.) Excellent fit! Drops on snuggly to all the edges with no slop, and clears the tonearm pivot. Cannot be used while playing records. (For some that might be a negative, but not me.) Easy to guess it will fit on other turntables, as an after market piece, with the same table dimensions as the SL-12xx. I now drape the Stanton cloth cover on top of the Decksaver as decoration/support and it looks great. Now double dust protection. Decksaver, take note in your marketing.

If you need a replacement cover for a SL 1200, this thing works great. It fits perfectly on my mk3d. If you have a mkII, you might need to remove the hinges. But after you do, it'll fit great.

These are great ! They fit so snug and do the trick. My one disappointment is that you can't have the record playing while they're on as the center ditch in the shell will come in contact with the needle. I saw someone on here posting that that was possible, but I can confidently say that with my MK5's that is a no go. Otherwise solid buy, very durable and trustworthy.

So my recent acquisition of an extremely well conditioned Technics 1200M3D did not come with a cover. I am very happy with the Deck saver cover I found on amazon. It arrived tonight. It was not cheap but it was definitely cheaper than buying an original replacement. It fit’s perfectly and protects the gear from dust and or being damaged. Without a doubt I am super happy with this product. Thank you for the great product. It also arrived a day earlier than the promised arrival!

..... Aber, er ist nicht so Hell Durchsichtig wie auf den Bildern, eher Grau. Was zwar für mich eigentlich keine Negative Bewertung währe. Habe diesen Decksaver auf gut Glück bestellt, da ich bei keinem in Internet gefundenen Angaben zur Größe fand. Habe einen Nunmark Profesionel Turntabel Discplayer.... ca 30 Jahre Alt. Zum Glück, passt diese „Haube“ der Decksaver wie „Angegossen“. In allen Bereichen volle Punktezahl. Wobei, der Preis, scheint mir bei so dünnen Plastik etwas zu hoch. Plus die Extra Versandspesen. Kaufempfehlung, klar, scheint mir eine gewisse „Norm“ bei den Plattenspielern zu sein.

Bought 2 of these for my husband for a gift. Really thick plastic to cover both sides of his dj equipment. Looks nice, fits perfect and it’s a very strong plastic! He loves them and super impressed

Es de plástico es brillante y con un tono ahumado, encaja perfecta mente sobre una technics 1200 MK2 & MK3 ideal para proteger y cuidar del polvo y otros factores, se le puede poner peso encima pero no lo recomiendo. Se debe tener cuidado al manipularlo ya que en una mala caída puede romperse fácilmente. Es un poco mas delgado Vs el Original Recomendado
