Well made, and packaged to gift in a nice sturdy box. The cover is lovely, the tie is plenty long, and the pages are crisp, thick and white sans lines. I ordered the 5 x 7 size without the lines. The journal is well stitched and durable, well made. I like it! Will be nice for all of my creative inspirations.

Quite possibly one of the nicest things I have ever purchased on Amazon - and I shop a lot here. It is beautifully made, and a lot of thought has been put into how it could very easily become a family heirloom down the road. The color is rich and warm, the leather is soft and succulent and feels good to the touch. The paper is intentionally a soft white that mirrors what you might expect to find in something aged - it is beautiful and will become a keepsake at the very least. To address negative comments head on: Yes - the leather does smell - but I did not find it overpowering - but instead, what should be expected from a quality leather item. There was no bleed-through of color from the leather at all, and with some gentle maneuvering of the leather cover, writing on the pages inside was quite simple. A beautiful gift that no doubt will be cherished.
